I would want to know if there is a way on the Switch to make a Flat world that is deeper. Like with the JAVA edition I want to make a flat world with more layers beneath like 60 layers. Currently there are 5 layers and this is not good.
The other editions could make this possible now I can't find a way.
Anyone else having problems getting this game to work on Switch? If I try to load a world on my account the game crashes, and on my brother's account he can't even get as far as the title screen, it just comes up with a black screen then crashes if he presses the home button.
Hey, everyone. I have a couple questions. Minecraft has never interested me in the least so I've never played it, but my son has been talking about it lately (I think some friends at school play it). First, is it okay for a 7-8 year old (he will turn 8 in December)? I know kids play it, but they also play Call of Duty and whatnot, so that doesn't mean anything. Second, he is also talking about some Scriptcraft modding thing that he saw in a book. Is this kind of thing only available on the PC version, or is there something he could do on the Switch version? Thanks for any help.
OK, thanks. I assumed those would be the answers but I thought I'd ask, especially since it's rated E10+ in the US. One more I just thought of. Does the Switch version (or the PC, too) come with the Mario stuff included? Because I am sure he would want that.
@Xyphon22 yeah I'd second what Eel said. I let my kids start playing it at age 5. There is no I appropriate content and while there is online features they allow limited interaction so your kids are safe. It encourages creative thinking so I think its wonderful for their imagination
Mods are only possible on the PC version and the Mario content only on Nintendo platforms.

@Eel Thanks for the help. I've run into a few more issues looking into it. First, is there a way to play it on a Chromebook? He wants to PC version in order to do Scriptcraft, and a Chromebook is what we let him use. Second, what is the best way to buy it, since apparently you cannot buy Minecraft on Steam or anything like that? Sorry, I don't game on computer much, so I'm not sure about such things. Thanks.
@Xyphon22 I'm not sure if the Java version is available on Chromebooks. I'd recommend looking around on the Minecraft Reddit or in the Minecraft website for information on that.
To buy that one you must do it through the Minecraft website.
Do keep in mind that windows also has a version of bedrock available through the Microsoft store, that one is equal to the one on the switch and is separate from the Java edition.
@YorkshireNed Great. Thanks for your advice. @Eel I looked it up and it seems like it is possible if you want to (and are able to) get into the developer mode and do some Linux stuff, which I am probably not capable of doing or really want to try to tinker with. So it's probably Switch or nothing. Thanks for your help.
@Xyphon22 I'm afraid Chromebooks and PCs are very different. The Chromebook will not play the PC version. Depending on the model of Chromebook it might not even play the Android version. The Android version is unlikely to have as many features

Anyone having issues with the Realms Plus subscription? I try to take out the free trial and it tells me I don't have enough Minecraft coins. Err, what?
It seems very glitchy in general today

Yes!!! Finally!!! I found the Minecraft Bedrock Edition Nintendo Life server. Minecraft is the best game in the world. In my opinion, there's not a better game than Minecraft. I play Minecraft on the Nintendo Switch. I'm new to the Switch, so I'd like to make some friends, please. I believe you can see my Nintendo Switch Code down bellow. I also have Discord. I'll friend anyone that's got Discord, too. My Discord is Elliott Black#9217. MINECRAFT!!!

hey guys, so my kids and I have gotten into the minecraft groove so to speak. Our three older kids have their own windows 10/Android devices to play minecraft, and they are all comparable with the switch version, since they all are now the 'bedrock' edition. Anyways, are the realms a good way to set up a server for us to use? or is there a better hosting site? We are wanting something that will be 24/7 so we can jump on and off as needed. And my kids want to add a few of their friends also. Thanks in advance for the help. Oh, I know there is workaround so to speak with the DNS issue on the switch to join other "servers". But the realms would be easier for all of us to join...
