Well, this exists. Can’t believe it’s a Switch exclusive, maybe 2019 will be best year the Switch has had yet.

I just hope that it has couch co-op like the other two had. My son and I really enjoyed playing the first two together.

@Tasuki according to the article on the front page seems like yes, it will have all forms of multiplayer. Online, Wireless with multiple switches, and regular local coop on one system. This came out of nowhere but im looking forward to it. 2019 is getting busy already!

Very cool. I'm an unabashed Marvel zombie, and loved the first 2 games. Honestly did not think this gameplay-franchise would ever return!

This looked very 1990s.

Might be good though.

Converted from Sony to Nintendo during 7th gen and never looked back.

Angelic_Lapras_King

Should be a nice earner for Nintendo, what with all that Avengers 4 hype to fuel the sales big time.

It'd be neat if they added Link & Samus (and maybe others) as playable characters. They were originally planned for the Wii version of the first UA.

Do previous MUAs have model galleries like in Marvel vs Capcom 3?

Developed by Team Ninja at Koei Tecmo. Licensed by Disney. I wonder how much Nintendo had to pay for the exclusivity? I guarantee it wasn't cheap. Unless this your typical timed exclusive and it shows up on PS4/XBone a year later?

@Magician Why would Nintendo pay for exclusivity on this specific title? The games have always been cross platform and Nintendo is fine with that.

Never heard of this series before. Ordered the Wii original today to check it out.

I'll get it if it reviews well. I got Lego Marvel 2 for my Switch a while ago but it didn't scratch that superhero itch.

Alpha 2 is the best Street Fighter and that's a fact~

Firstly, the series is a Diablo clone, specific playstyles aren't a factor. Secondly, third party developed games and platform exclusivity is something you don't often see these days. Because publishers prefer releasing their product across as many platforms as possible. So the only reason this is exclusive to the Switch is because Nintendo paid for it to be so.

@Magician Didn’t know it was a Diablo clone, but just because it is on the Switch doesn’t mean the exclusivity was paid for. Were there even direct statements by Sony addressing their supposed payment for several exclusives?

@gcunit Really? Well, there's actually two of them available on the Wii, and what they basically are, is a superhero version of a dungeon crawler (even though it's officially labeled as "action-RPG"), with interchangeable characters, meaning story lines intertwine, and you'll be playing through the game with different characters. You'll select teams of four, and then you'll use these characters one by one to progress through the story.

Personally, I liked the second one better than the first, but all in all, I found both of them entertaining enough, to play through them.

From the Wiki page:

Players can select teams of four from a range of more than twenty-two playable characters (although some characters are not initially available and need to be unlocked), allowing them to create their own superhero teams or recreate famous teams from the publications. Bonuses are also available if forming certain groups (e.g. the Avengers, Defenders, Fantastic Four, Marvel Knights, X-Men). The game also has alternative endings, dictated by the number of optional missions the player completes. Also included are trivia, artwork, and "simulator discs", which unlock non-story related missions for characters. Each character also has a variety of costumes that offer different advantages.

it may be multiplatform now but Final Fantasy & PlayStation will always go hand in hand

I don't recall any platform holder ever publicly disclosing how much they pay for exclusivity. For example, do we know how much Microsoft paid Square Enix to have Rise of the Tomb Raider exclusive to the XBone for a year? How hot is the Marvel cinematic universe right now? How come the X-Men are in this game yet they weren't in the latest Marvel vs. Capcom? Believe me, money was paid.
