Hello
I'm currently making my way through Bowser's Kingdom and have converted several Bowser checkpoints to Mario ones, but when I look on the interactive map, all of them are greyed out. I have to fully power down the Switch and restart it for the checkpoints to turn red, but the same thing happens after playing for some time. It's getting really annoying, particularly as I can't warp anywhere while they're greyed out.
System software is 6.0.0.
The console is still under guarantee but of course the game card has been used so can't be returned.

My gut is telling me it's the card. What do you guys reckon?

I think checkpoints are disabled after a certain point in Bowser's Kingdom until the first time you reach the end of the world. It's not like other worlds, the goal here is to reach the end before you're given full control to explore it freely. I mean, I didn't notice that they were, but knowing how the world goes down it would make sense to disable them. Just try making it to the end of the world once and see if they reactivate.

Thanks for replying.
Not sure that's the case. When I power up again, I can access all the checkpoints on the map and can warp from point to point, but after playing for a while, they grey out again and I have to power down and back up again. Then I can access them again.
I noticed this the first time when I got fed up of dying trying to get up the moving walls with the pokio and decided to take a break and go back and find some more moons closer to Odyssey. So I haven't even got to the main part of the kingdom yet.

I think check point flags are usually greyed out whenever Mario is midair.

@IANVARIVS

Not sure what you mean.
When I access the map, Mario isn't doing anything except waiting for me to decide the next step!!
