Do you think that they will re-release Mario Maker for the Switch? I have it for the Wii U and had fun but would like to have a version for the Switch. More features would be even better.

I would really love it, but i don't think we will get one. Next E3 can be only place to reveal to me, but Nintendo said already that Super Mario Odissey will be the central thing. So...
I'd love to have a Mario Maker for Switch if it comes with A LOT of updates. I'm talking slopes, placeable water and lava pools, more enemies, game and background themes and so and so on. I'd even be okay if it was handheld-only, too! This is basically one of my most wanted games for Switch.

@mav-i-am I dunno - I'd like to see one of everything personally...
Ubisoft, for example, churn out a new Assassin's Creed every year - that's excessive - the games lack the necessary fresh ideas to keep the franchise interesting...Ubisoft appear to favour quantity over quality - and I think that leads to IP becoming stale.
One of each franchise per console generation would be a much better cycle - and what Nintendo should be aiming for in my opinion...I know a lot of people are disappointed that, for example, there was no Animal Crossing game on WiiU - and no 2D Metroid or F-Zero game in, well, ages! ..and I'm with them - Nintendo has by far the best and most varied IP of any game developer - they should be showing that broad appeal off with every console as far as I'm concerned...the best part of owning Nintendo hardware is the diverse range of first-party software that you'll get on it!
I think it's inevitable. Sooner or later a Mario Maker (or 2 like with Splatoon) will be on the Switch because it has the touchscreen and it can handle it easily. Not sure when though.
Unless it is a sequel of some sort I wouldn't want it. The game is already on two systems. If you really want to play it you could have bought it by now. I just want Nintendo to focus on new games so the switch continues to do well.

I think a gap is better for bringing something new to games.
When you look at the non AAA IP Nintendo has you could rotate them really easily without it feeling like there is anything missing, plus gives time for new IP.
Switch games list,
Legend of Zelda BotW, Human resource machine, NBA Playgrounds, Street Fighter 2, Super Bomberman R, Snipperclips, Overcooked, World of Goo.
I would love to see these Wii U greats, like DKC: Tropical Freeze, Captain Toad, Hyrule Warriors, Mario 3D World, New Super Mario Bros U, Xenoblade Chronicles X, Mario Maker etc re-released for the Switch, even if it was eshop releases only, these games are great but I feel alot of people missed out because of the poor Wii U sales which might have put people off buying that system. All the more to re-release them for the Switch.
The game will have to launch with a stylus specific to the Switch. The screen on the Switch is so incredibly soft that it does not take much to scratch it.
I think we will see almost every AAA 1st party Wii U title for Switch. Including Yoshi's Yarn, Tropical Freeze and Mario Maker. Wii U had a limited audience, and if Switch surpasses it, these titles are easy and quality Switch titles. We probably won't see a entry in the classic side-scrolling Mario series (New Super Mario U) outside of VC because of perceived series fatigue. I would guess Bayonetta would show up too.
I think the NX didn't have a touch screen until late in development, and it was probably added specifically for Mario Maker's sake.

I don't think Nintendo, or most other people see it that way at all. 99.9% of people won't care about tiny scratches or even notice them, like dead/stuck pixels. Most people happily toss any controller/portable around and shove them in a pocket. It simply does not bother them. Have you ever seen any of the crazy things people do to laptops or tablets and use them oblivious to screen aberrations? I've worked on laptops where the screen is shattered and the people just look around the cracks in the screen. I went to someone's house and they had a slice of Pizza stuck to their 60 inch Sony and never bothered to remove it.
I, apparently like you, hate defects. I won't deal with a dead or stuck pixel, and I'm super OCD about them being perfect and clean. We are the exception though. most just don't care, unfortunately.

Not sure why you would think that, but I 100% do not agree with you. People notice scratches and certainly a dead pixel is very noticeable and annoying. Maybe kids will not notice or care, but adults who buy these products do care. I do not know a single person that would allow a dead pixel or scratches on their screen.

"Adults" are actually the worst segment for this, only aficionados care about picture quality at all, and a good portion pay for high definition and then proceed to watch standard definition channels when HD is just one channel up.
Most people don't. And that's why manufacturers get away with the whole "It's not defective until you have a certain number of bad pixels" policies. Most people don't care and they certainly don't inspect displays for tiny scratches and defects. If they did, you would be paying a lot more for your electronics.
You have to remember, a relatively small percentage of the population are gamers and a much smaller subset are video enthusiasts as well.
Just because you care, and others you know might, does not mean it's true big picture wise. I wish it was. If you pay more attention, you'll notice people roll their eyes when your talking about it. It doesn't mean your not right, though.

Nah, don't agree with you. I think you are incredibly wrong.
@Thunder_Pilot You make a good point. People fall all over themselves for the brand name and they will regurgitate whatever they hear their friends say or read on the internet, but consumers don't research nearly as much as they should. Also, they will usually pay through the nose not on a product's merit but on bragging rights.
