Who thinks Mario Kart 9 may be on this system? Whether it be console or handheld?
Speculate here.
Here is my speculation for the roster of this game:
I lead the way through the great unknown! Never knowing what I'll find...
I'm searching, expecting, exploring, connecting... So no one has to feel they're left behind.

this is going to be a handheld the new 3ds is like the dsi or game boy color and also the odd number ones except for super Mario kart are handheld ones also I think it will have more characters than Mario/mii/donkey kong/yoshi ones and will have amiibo in it also it may be a new idea like a handheld and home console bundle

There's no question about it that Mario Kart will be on this system, although whether it'll be called Mario Kart 9 is anyone's guess.
As for what it'll be like... well, that's pretty much completely impossible to predict until we know what the system actually is and what it's capable of.
1. Fix the items. I realized why I like Mario Kart Wii's use of items more than any other Mario Kart. Because you actually SEE the new items. Most other Mario Kart games have this really annoying habit of never giving you new items, and instead giving the tried and true shells and bananas.
2. Bring back wheelies on bikes
3. Fix battle mode
4. Fix the roster.
Currently Playing: Steamworld Heist, The Legend of Zelda: Majora's Mask, Tales of Graces F

4. Fix the roster.
1. The reason why you see so many items in Wii is because that game was over loaded with items.
2. They would have to nerf bikes pretty hard to compensate for wheelies.
3. As long as it doesn't damage the awesome single player experience.
4. Fix the roster? What is broken about it? It might be missing characters from past games but I can't think of any ways the roster is "broken"
People keep saying the Xbox One doesn't have Backwards Compatibility.
I don't think they know what Backwards Compatibility means...

I'd like to add to that.
5. Put 2 or 3 seconds of invincibility frames after your hit, so you don't get hit 5 times in succession.
6. Get rid of weight classes, so we can play as our favorite character, and still have a chance to win.
7. Give us an even number of inside and outside drifting bikes.
I always liked Mario Kart DS' take on the weight class thing. You had them for vehicles, but once you beat the game, any character could drive any vehicle. So if you wanted Bowser in the Egg 1 or Dry Bones in the Rambi Rider, that was entirely possible.

1. I'm not saying the items have to be super strong like in MKWii, but if they are going to go through the work of making a diverse set of new items, make them more common.
2. Or they could buff bikes, the point is that MK8 ruined the point of using bikes in the first place. Bring that point back.
3. I've spent more time playing DD's battle mode single player than I have its racing mode (in part because Battle mode gets rid of A bunch of the problems DD's racing had)
4. I just meant make the roster options better. There's no need for 5 Marios and 8 Koopalings.
Currently Playing: Steamworld Heist, The Legend of Zelda: Majora's Mask, Tales of Graces F
The only thing I'll add is that Mario Kart Wii had time-trial leaderboards. Which was pretty much all I wanted out of the time trial mode in Mario Kart. However in both the 3DS version and the Wii U versions they didn't do it. It's just annoying that they had it basically perfect in the Wii version and have only taken it backwards since.
I want to be able to go into time trials, find a track that I don't have the best time in and then beat my friends on that track. THEN post on MiiVerse bragging about it. As it is in Mario Kart 8 you can post a time to MiiVerse but there's no way of knowing if it's a good time unless one of your friends has already bragged about their time. It's clunky and it needs improvement.

There's too many variants of other characters. We have 7 Koopalings, 5 babies, and 2 Metal characters. Nearly half of the roster is character variants. Not exactly good variety.

1. Not just make new items, but balance them as well. There's no reason why I'm in 3rd place and I get a coin and the dude in 2nd place gets trip reds. And either be rid of the Blue Shell for good, or make it much less common. There is nothing more unfair than the person in last place determining the winner of the race. It doesn't make the game fun or chaotic. It makes it unfun and stupid.
2. I use bikes almost exclusively now, and I'm ok with them. I wouldn't mind bringing back wheelies though. That was a lot of fun, and they could balance it out somehow.
3. I know battle mode is a lot of people's favorite, and I know that MK8's battle mode sucks, but I personally couldn't care less. Never play it.
4. YES PLEASE. It isn't broken, per se, but there's no reason for there to be Koopalings, Metal Mario, Pink Gold Peach ... it's annoying, and I'd rather have Dry Bones or something different.
5. Yes, this is a big complaint of mine.
6. I don't think the characters should have weight classes, but the karts/bikes should. But I agree that playing as Koopa means you're pretty much going to lose.
7. ?
And I'd like to add a few myself.
Fix the physics. There's no reason why, EVER, Baby characters should be able to bump off a heavy. Unless they have a mushroom.
Fix the star! The star is super weak now. I got passed by someone with a mushroom today while in star mode.
Get rid of coins as an item. I like them as pick ups, and I like that they boost your speed, but they are the worst items.
I like MKTV, but they should bring back the Mario Kart Channel. If not the channel itself, then upgrade MKTV to be similar to the MKChannel.
