Mario Kart 8 Deluxe is going to be on the Switch, but it is just an import of MK8 with only a few differences such as battle modes revived from old mario kart games. If it doesn't have any new tracks or doesn't have some DLC that makes it unique, then it may be a failure, as many people may already have MK8, but then there are many who haven't played it because the Wii U was a failure. Because it is just an import, could there be a DLC that adds many new tracks/characters so it is "new"? I would be a little disappointed if MK8D turns out to only be a remastered MK8, but be more happy that it was released on the Switch because I don't have a Wii U. Thoughts?

It's not how fast you can do something, it's how well you can do something fast

As well as MK8 sold to the Wii U userbase it still only sold 8 million compared to MK Wii which sold over 30 million and MK7 over 13 million. The fact MK8 will now be portable as well, means many of those who bought it on Wii U will be tempted to buy it again on Switch.Even if it does only go on to sell 5 million or so,that's not too bad for a port.

Why would you be disappointed anyway? You never owned a Wii U so it'll be like a new game for you. You're exactly the type of gamer Nintendo are aiming this for.And any Wii U owners that upgrade are just a bonus.

Please use the existing MK8D thread for this. Thanks.
