I have had it preinstalled on my Switch for quite a while. Digitally they are giving 600 gold coins ($6) back for pre-ordering it. The icon is killing my anixety and making this week seem endless. I took Thursday off work, I bought LM1 with my Switch on it's release date, and LM2 I bought for my 3DS on release as well. I love this series.
Who else remembers playing the original? It was one of my first two gamecube games at launch. The other was Rogue leader. (big star wars nut!) Anyway i wasn't expecting much from Luigi's mansion. I thought well there's not much else to choose from and mario sunshine wasn't out yet so i grabbed this new Luigi game. Brought it home thinking eh maybe I'll just play a little. Well a little turned into 3 and a half hours and i finished it that night! Good times!
First thing i noticed upon starting it up was the graphics. My jaw hit the floor! Coming from N64 to this just seemed huge in 2001! Talk about your case of expectations being shattered! I was like no way this looks awesome! So yeah i was quite pleasantly surprised by this game.
If you haven't tried it you should. I know it's really old now but it was recently released on 3DS as well if you don't feel like digging out your gamecube but own a 3DS. The game was criminally underrarted.

Often is the case that first is best, especially with films. But this series is 3 > 2 > 1, imho. Or what else can say when put the game aside only when console must recharge
I actually think Dark moon is better than the first. For one thing it's longer and takes more than 2 hours to complete, Maybe 3 If you're really taking your time. That was one of it's biggest gripes most people had. It's basically a gamecube tech demo. The variety of locations is greater and puzzles are more complex in dark moon.
I just didn't care for the mission structure. Having to stop and return to E. gads lab after every few ghosts rather than just wondering all over the mansion. The first one felt more open.

Anyone know how to make the Gooigi go back to the Poltergust? I tried any button combination and it doesn't seem want to come back... I accidentally skipped through that part of the tutorial so yeah
@NintendoByNature thanks I guess I have to call them some how I got screwed over. On the note of the game it’s amazing. It’s like playing a real Pixar animation. Goty right here.
