Was looking for the Lost Sphear forum and couldn't find it. Guess I'll create one with the game just a few months out, and we have new footage to bask in 😁
There's a battle right away, then 2 minutes in you get to see the airship. I love it- the world is round and rotates as you air-sail...
The game will be digital only for $39.99, except for the Square Enix Online Store exclusive physical version which can be found here for $49.99
Personally, I feel like Tokyo RPG Factory learned a lot with their first game, I Am Setsuna and has really elevated this new game to another level. Pretty much all the complaints people had with I Am Setsuna seem to be addressed. It just looks fantastic.

Nice work with the video upload. I wasn't too sure about this, as the RPG scene on the Switch is about to become a lot more competitive with Xeno, Dragon Quest, Octopath, Skyrim, FFXV, Atelier and, eventually, Shin Megami Tensei and Fire Emblem. That said, this looks kind of cool. I like that Tokyo RPG Factory aim for shorter, more focused campaigns. I can't handle too many 100-hour behemoths, no matter how much I love them.
Ya I'm really impressed with this game. It just looks really solid. Like Octopath Traveller, I think Lost Sphear will be a must-have traditional JRPG.

So, the USA version will be on January 2018, right ?
I have checked on playasia.com, the Japan version will be on October 2017. I guess it will be same case with I Am Setsuna (Multi language)
@JaxonH
My Minor complain about Lost Sphear just only one : the TEXT was looked soooo.... Small on Switch (Handheld Mode) ! I almost cannot read those Tiny texts.
@Anti-Matter
Idk, I can read the text from the YT video window running on my iPad, and it's gotta be about 4" window. I think it'll be fine on a 6" screen.

I preferred the visuals and setting of Setsuna but the story and characters were generic rubbish.
Hope they can improve it.
There's a serious lack of good story and characters in modern JRPGs.
It does remind me of Bravely Default... only better. This is right up there with Octopath Traveller as 2 immaculate classic JRPG's coming to Switch. The world seems so much more interesting than I Am Setsuna,
I'm glad they're making a physical version too. I imported I Am Setsuna from Asia to get the English box art. And I want this to match.

@Tsurii
I downloaded it. Only played for a bit, but it's legit.

Ya they do. In fact Lost Sphear only has a demo on the JP eShop. Octopath Traveller is on all 3.
You have to look in the coming soon section

But I gotta be honest - I've played both demos, and I think Octopath is gonna be better. I'm still going to buy Sphear for sure, but I like Octopath's aesthetics and battle system more.
Idk how i feel about this game.. I thought setsuna was going to be good.. I played a good bit of it but kind of got bored with it.. the graphics were just too plain.. like i don't think anything was bad in the game but nothing was really great about it.
Its just that every single aspect about the game was entirely mediocre.
I have no doubt this game is going to be better, but do i think it's going to be great? No, just better.

Just got done playing the demo and finishing it. I like this game. At first the battle system was confusing but after about 10 minutes everything clicked and I understood what I was doing. The demo ended on a cliffhanger of moral choice and setting up the story to come.
I like that. It has me invested in the game now.

as someone who played a lot of fan made RPG Maker games back in the day, I don't feel like Lost Sphear is a "budget" RPG. Ironically, because it actually has a budget. :V
@kkslider5552000 to me, i am setsuna just feels cheap. Like it has no heart... which is why i feel like lost sphere is just going to feel the same to me because it looks the same.
Part of me wonders if its because playing it on PC at 1440p makes it look like a mobile game ported to PC or something.. maybe playing it on console resolution with a pair of joy cons will greatly increase lost spheres charm for me.
