@NaviAndMii@gcunit It's a page thing, I had the same layout as Gcunit before I switched to black, then the blue went green. I think it gets that colour after a certain amount of hours, probably around 50, as Fate/Extella is 40 yet grey and Mario + Rabbids is 65 and green.
Edit: Can confirm it's at 50, as I see a friend whose played Odyssey for 50 hours and it's marked green, whereas I've seen a 45 hours game and it was still grey
@UmniKnight Ah, you posted as I was editing! ..it seems that @gcunit and yourself could well be correct - I've just glanced at a few friends' activity logs and they do seem to fit that pattern ..I don't recall Stardew Valley ever being green(/blue) in my list - but that could just be because, when it was green, I didn't look at my log (SV tells you combined playtime in-game) ..it all makes sense now! MYSTERY CLOSED...again!
I am a little bit annoyed with myself. I have a really bad habit of just leaving my console on even when I am not playing it, so here goes nothing:
MK8D Played for 170 hours or more
Splatoon 2 Played for 300 hours or more
The Legend of Zelda: BOTW Played for 20 hours or more
I would say in reality, the most I have played a single game on the Switch is MK8D; at around 60 hours.
I really appreciate friends on my list sharing their profile activity log with me. It's one of the most influential factors in how I judge the value of games along with my personal preferences.
In fact, someone told me that 300 may be the limit of how many friends you can have(?) I am over 200 as it stands and when pruning time comes, it will be the folk who keep their activity log private that get removed first 😉
I too wish the Switch's activity log was more detailed like that of the 3DS though.
I often go through the logs of my friends list to see what every is playing and what kind of hours people are putting into games. One recent example I saw a lot of people buying Stardew Valley but hardly anyone has put more than a few hours in to it which put me off buying. I don't mind the current system I think there's bigger changes needed for the Switch OS than the activity log.
I love the activity logs. The one on the 3DS is the best one yet, I wish they would implement that into the Switch.
It is a really easy way to see what games are really worth your time in the long-run.. Animal Crossing? I put in nearly 200 hours. Splatoon on Wii U? Over 100 hours. Obviously I know those games will be worth it to buy at full price.
@Lroy Yeah, I'm pretty sure that you're right and the Switch does stop logging hours played for games that drop off your Activity Feed - guess I haven't quite got to that point yet!
...can't quite explain my Pokemon Quest hours either! (quite a bit of idle time, I think - until I realised that the in-game timers still tick down when you switch the game off!) ..don't think I'll play too much more of it - I've kind of hit a bit of a wall - but it was fun(ish) while it lasted!
@NaviAndMii No, no. The Switch does keep logging hrs for every Switch game you play that support User Profile selection. 1-2 SWITCH doesn't for example. Why they never patched or updated that game is beyond me.
Anyway, let's say you own more than 20 Switch games, which I'm going to assume you do? Even if that game slips off your profile activity log. It will still chart hrs played and appear again the next time you boot it up. I just wondered how one would find out which games were their most played without having to boot up every single game and note down the hrs independently as the Switch had this stupid 20 titles cap.
It actually records more than 20 games and records them down to the second. It only displays the info for the 20 most recent and displays the info in 5 hour chunks.
The system has the info, we just cannot see it. It still bugs me that there isn't an activity log, like on 3DS.
