Topic: Joy con colour question

I've pre-ordered the switch that comes with the grey controllers. I'm looking to buy a second pair of joy-cons. I was thinking of buying the mixed pack with red and blue. But has anyone seen if the red and blue joy cons come in individual boxes? I've only seen grey in individual boxes for sale. It would be nice to complete the set of colours eventually. If the coloured joy cons don't come in individual boxes I'll buy solid colours instead.

TBH I am waiting for the (inevitable) release of themed Joy cons.

Same here. I want to get by with just the included Joy-Cons for now and save my cash for the themed Joy-Cons. I haven't even begun collecting the themed Wii Remotes and GameCube-shaped Classic Controllers yet.

@MarkTrav82 I'm pretty certain you can buy the red and blue joy cons in separate boxes, certainly here in the UK at least.

I have the SS WiiMote and a Peach GC controller around here.

@fragred thanks for the reply. I've looked at Amazon.co.uk and game.co.uk. Didn't see individual coloured joycons. Just grey. Are your 100% you saw it? Thanks mate

Let's be honest, unless a link to an individual coloured joy-con is posted, you may as well not bother (no offence to fragred here ) - this is a yes or no question.

Nintendo.co.uk doesn't list them. Amazon UK don't. I'm gonna assume they don't exist currently until someone puts up a link.

@MarkTrav82 @Octane I was basing my assumptions on what Nintendo Life had on their deals article a while back. (https://www.nintendolife.com/news/2017/01/guide_deals_and_pre-orders_for_the_nintendo_switch_games_and_accessories) where they had them in packs (2 reds or 2 blues) but I guess you can't buy them as separately.

I don't think they sell it now. But it has to be something they will sell eventually. Only makes sense to do so. Things break and people will wanna replace the colour that broke.

It would seem that the only way to get full sets of all three joycon colors right now is buying the Switch console that comes with the colored joycons, the individual set of colored joycons, and an extra set of gray joycons.
