I will be in American when the switch comes out but I am living in Australia, I would like to buy a switch while I am over there but before I do I want to know if it will work back here in Aus, What will I need if I bring it back? Will it be as simple as just getting a new AC adapter? or will I need a power converter also?

Everything on the Switch is powered via USB Type C. Even the dock. So all you need is a decent USB Type C cable and a USB style phone charger with enough Amps to supply it. You could always get the official AC Adapter for Australia once you get home if you're worried about getting one with the right Amps.

What about warranty? Does Nintendo limit it geographically?

I think so. Nintendo Australia may receive it to fix it if you need it, but I'm pretty sure that since you're buying an American unit you're limited to NoA's warranty, which is for North, Central, and South America.

I have a chronic lack of time, for everything.

Now playing: Okami HD, Mario Kart 8 Deluxe.
