So I was able to purchase the Nintendo switch from Amazon Prime Now. Which if you don't know is a delivery service from Amazon. That delivers your package within a 2 hour time frame window same day you order it.

So the console is set to arrive here between between 10AM and 12PM EST(At the time frame I selected).

The only thing is which I think is kind of silly in my opinion is that Amazon Prime now doesn't have any games or accessories at all. You would have to order it from the regular Amazon site or just go to your local GameStop, Best Buy etc to pick up games and accessories.

So since I was able to order it right at midnight. I went to my local Best Buy last night to try to get my hands on a copy of Zelda for my console coming today. But when I arrived there last night, Zelda was completely sold out. I also went to my local GameStop just to see if they have any Zelda in stock and they also told me that it was completely sold out. I also checked amazon and the game was only available for digital download.

So I was wondering if you think it would be worth it to purchase Zelda digitally? Because I get my console today. But with no games because local retailers are sold out of Zelda.

So if I were to order it online from GameStop or from another retailer online that has it. I would have to wait until Tuesday at minimum to get it. Because if I place the order now, it won't ship out until Monday. So that would mean I would have my Nintendo switch here just sitting pretty until I get a game.

So my question is. Do you think it's worth it for me to purchase the digital version of Zelda? Because if I didn't purchase it digitally I would have the switch console at my house just sitting here looking pretty until at least Tuesday. I'm reluctant to purchase it digitally because it's going to take a while to download. Then also with the internal hard drive being so small I don't know if it's worth it to download any games digital. Plus how many games are even able to fit inside the external hard drive. I mean for the time being I have an extra 32 GB MicroSD card I'm going to use until I upgrade to probably a 200 or 500 GB card in the near future. Then lastly, just like most of you who purchase the console. You're going to be eager to play it and not just want to have the console sitting there.

So all the input would be greatly appreciated! Thanks in advance!

Just buy it digitally.

@ChrispyNoodle what's your reasoning behind this? I just want some reasons to persuade me other than just buy it digitally. I appreciate your opinion though and I'm leaning more towards buying it digitally because I don't want to sit here and wait with no games. Especially being a Friday and the weekend now lol.

Well its pretty obvious chum. You cant get hold of a physical copy of the game so your only option is to buy it digitally. Oh and its amazing coz ive been playing it non stop for the last 13 hours.

If your objection to download is simply the space/time required then I'd say just download it. You'll still have a decent chunk of space left so you'll be fine if you're going to buy other games on cart. If your objection is the price difference, or resale value, then I'd say wait.

Or just buy Fast RMX.

@chardir The main reason is because of time and space. Maybe being able to trade it in and the resale value as well. But that is secondary to me. So I'm probably going to cave in and purchase the game digitally

Yea I hate you couldn't obtain it, but I knew the attach rate of BOTW would've close to all time launch high, so finding a non preordered copy would be tough. I don't like downloads, I am a collector and NEED a physical copy. But this is a great game from what I played so far. If you can wait it out, then get the physical copy, but if not download it. You wot regret playing it asap.

Did you check with Best Buy again? According to their web site, all the stored in my local region have it available for pickup today.
