Topic: I am blocked in Zelda BOTW (edit)

Hello !

I have a problem with a shrine in Zelda.
It is the one just outside the city in the gerudo desert.
I see i need to connect the green lines using barrels but i only have one and cannot see how to unlock the others that are behind bars.....i cannot "reach" their interruptors...(

how am i supposed to do?

I think you get more barrels (and maybe a chest?) once you connect the first few lines. There should be a barrel and a big metal box to help you.
If you can't make them connect then try to fill the spaces by dropping metal weapons and shields on the ground and moving them with magnesis.

-it took me 20 minutes to figure it out the first time, it's one of the more complicated shrines...

I dont recall the shrine but if you ever feel like your "stuck" fast travel out of the shrine that fast travel back to it and everything inside should reset

Barrels, big metal blocks. You need them all, plus one more thing. I used one of my metal shields, but I believe the official solution was to use the metal treasure chest in there.

i have a problem in a shrine again !
it's the one that is at the north west of the desert, in a "sandstorm".
In it there is a ball that is jumping continuously between too "stone coils" and by blocking the ball with the yellow power and make it fall, i could unlock the exit, but there is an area where i can see 2 chests on the left.....
2 chests and there contents that await me....the problem is i have no idea how to reach them....like not at all!

how can i get to them?

Have you ever tried googling a shrines name?

When I do this a video showing how to complete the shrine and get the chests is like the first result. Easier than asking for a solution from peoples memory on a forum......

On the Wii U you can do this straight from the console or even use miiverse....I guess switch is step back?

i'm playing the game in japanese so the shrines have weird names^^

now i think i'm blocked on one of the principal quests ((((((((((((((
I 'm in the city in the desert and i need to go to the bandit lair to get the helm. i talked to some pepoles in the garrison and after looking at my map, the yellow marker is in the valley in the north.
But when i look in my journal it says that i still need to get information on how to enter the lair and that i need to talk to the guards in the garrison..
.....the thing is, i already talked to the guards in the room (the one where 2 people are doing spear training) and nobody told me how to enter the bandit lair ( do i need to ask to someone in particular?

i hope this is not a bug (( can someone help me please?

you did not speak to all the guards, look for the red simple.

@maelis I think that you can just go north to the yellow marker, I don't remember the people saying anything useful except that somebody went there and never came back (?).
It doesn't take to long to get there with the sand seals but the map doesn't always work in the north of the desert :/
I think the lair is always open though, you don't need to do anything to open it

Kimyonaakuma, in fact, i already went to the yellow marker^^ but i only found a big circular room with bows and torches scattered in it. Since it looked like a dead end that's where i read my journal and discovered that i apparently needed to gather more information:)
so maybe i just need to inquire more in this room^^

I have (another:( ) question regarding a shrine :
it is the one you "unlock" after the "heat resistance contest" against the 3 brothers in the canyon before the inn that is at the entrance of the desert (it is located at the place where you need to rescue 4 people).

In this shrine, is the reward a simple orb as usual or is it something else? i just need to now that^^^^
If someone can answer me that would be very nice:)

I am blocked in the giant machine in the desert

I need to activate 5 control panels.
I activated 3 of them, so I only have to activate the main one(the one that is at the center of the 3 "circle"s that i can rotate) and another one.

The thing is where is the other one?? i see there is ennemy upstairs but there is no way to get to them...some paths are block by the purple corruption...did i missed to shoot an eye that dispel it?

If some good soul could tell me what to do i would be very gratefull
(and if you can respond to the previous post it would be sweet!!!)

Here's a hint: go to the BOTW wiki/Walkthrough on ign.com. It has all the information you need for every shrine and dungeon, including video walkthroughs, all carefully organized. I found it a huge help every time I got stuck. If you have trouble translating between the English and Japanese names, use the interactive map feature to find your shrine or quest.

unfortunaly i think i'm blocked again in my quest:(
i'm blocked in the the giant "water" machine (it looks like an elephant) in the lake, just after you entered it.
i activated the first terminal but cannot find what to do next : on the upper floor, there are 2 wheels with one having things i can move with the yellow power of the shika stone...but i absolutely have no idea what to do i have explored the area and i found nothing that could help me....
what am i supposed to do here?
there is a terminal in the center of the big wheel but there is a barrier blocking my way....
i'm a bit afraid to look at a wiki because of spoilers

If you have activated the first terminal then you will now be able to open up your map and control the divine beast.

@maelis Have you used cryonis to freeze the water spout yet?
