I live in the U.S.A and our electronics are about to go up due to new tariffs on China @KuromiDL. But there nowhere near or going to be near the crazy prices your paying in Costa Rica. I truly feel sorry for you.
LOCAL WALMART PRICES
Nintendo Switch $317.98
Switch Games $52.94 (Even Just Launched Games)
Playstation Classic $21.19 LOL
All prices include our (U.S) 6% State sales tax
To be honest, in Indonesia the game's price are mostly cheaper than MSRP.
Here in Indonesia you can get Zelda BOTW for 750,000 IDR or US $53.00.
LABO (01, 02, 03) you can take it home with just 780,000 IDR or US$ 55.12 for the cheapest price.
I'm in the US. I usually get my games digitally so $60. But if I get a game at a store, it's $60 plus a 7% sales tax (I'm in Florida). So it's usually like $64.
usually they are overpriced as hell. they're expensive enough as it is when you look at the average living wages over here. one of the latest hilarious examples I've encountered is Marvel ultimate alliance costing over 70 euros... and the average wage over here is about 900 eur. very often it's cheaper for me to buy off from uk or german amazon
Here in the Netherlands, it depends where you plan to go buy your games.
I know several places where I can get really good prices, sometimes even better than amazon. ^^
I remember that I paid Zelda Breath of The Wild brand new €49 on Switch.
Luckily i now can buy digital keys of major Switch titles at WoG here in switzerland for the same or sometimes less money than the retail version.
It's just ridiculous how expensive games are in the swiss eshop. If you go on eshop comparison sites that list all game prices for the individual regions, switzerland is always highest priced by like minimum 5USD to up to 35USD. BOTW and smash are still 92USD in switzerland, like hey, do you take swiss people for stupid?
In Australia the general price of Switch games like BOTW, Smash or Mario is $80. But one can usually find physical copies a bit cheaper through various online game stores.
The lowest average price for games here is usually £38.85 or £38.95. Base.com always price new releases at this price (except LABO, but no one sold that for below £50 at least.)
Apparently the UK eShop is the worse in the world with 3DS games at the full price of £35 whereas there are significantly cheaper on other European eShops and much cheaper on the US and Canada ones. Switch games are around £39.
