Made a point of not developing a significant backlog on switch.
The “buzz” of buying a game, instantly playing it, completing it the repeating the cycle is lost on a lot of gamers I think now. Also - when you realise that having a lot of games is pointless and nobody really cares regarding your game collections etc then your buying patterns change

At this tine I only have the following backlog on switch - bought pillars of eternity last week and playing through it right now.

Currently playing: pillars of eternity
Backlog games: resident evil revelations 2; tales of Vesperia (trading - cannot get into this game); Skyrim and Zelda (significant hours played in both of these)
Games I play ongoing: Marion kart, Diablo 3

Play all your games for a minimum time, 4-8 hours for example, short list and finish the really compelling ones and forget the rest, just put em in the closet and remove the worry

I used to buy lots of games and never really struggled to play them.

But then I recently got into rpgs and I want to try a lot that I’ve missed out on over the years. So that’s landed me in trouble as each game takes much longer to beat.

A nice problem to have in a way.

I have a career and 3 kids, but I still stockpile games, play what I can now, and hope I can play them all in retirement.
