@Slasher "Going off on your profile pic, if you was to meet Banjo-Kazooie in real life, what would you do and/or say?"

That they were my childhood heroes and helped me to be more confident and outgoing? By the way, the only collector expensive thing that I have ever pre-ordered is the Banjo-Kazooie official figure that is out next year so I guess that I'll meet them next year?

About Mario Kart games, I think that the older ones are better because they focus more on racing while the latest ones focus more on luck and items.

Mario Kart 8 is a beautiful game but the racing part is so watered down. The racing part is extremely casual, not just the land driving but also water and air sections. So this is partly why I don't think Team Sonic Racing is for the casual crowd only as the Sonic racing games are more similar to Diddy Kong Racing than to Mario Kart.

Love All Star Racing and its sequel Transformed. But right now I couldn't care less about Sonic Racing. It seems to take steps backwards. No characters of other Sega franchises, no transformational tracks etc. Let's see what reviews say.

Btw: what prequel comics. I am collecting the Sonic IDW run but haven't heard anything about a prequel comic

Feeling the same way here. If it's a good game I'll ultimately buy it, but anything that is not in the line of All-Stars Racing is a step backwards. Or several. Missed opportunity.

The game looks awesome to me. No Sega characters because they are focusing on Sonic characters doesn't worry me at all. No water and air sections will probably be missed but I still think this could a great game. Imagine the cars drifting through wet roads or jumping off ramps like in Forza Horizon 3. It still could be a brilliant game but I guess because it's not made by Nintendo many people don't want to give it any credit and judge it before playing it.

This is a day one buy for me.

Sonic All Stars Racing Transformed is the only racing game, ever, that has rivaled Mario Kart 8. I used to say it was better, buuuut, after Deluxe dropped with a real battle mode, I think Mario Kart has edged it out. Regardless, it was a phenomenal game.

Now, this one admittedly doesn't look quite as good as All Stars Racing Transformed. It seems they're trying to copy Mario Kart more with this one. Slower speeds, no transformations or dynamic tracks, etc. And while I can appreciate what they're going for, it definitely looks like a step back from the previous entry.

That said, a step back from "one of THE best racers of all time" still lands somewhere in the top 1% of racers of all time. So ya, definitely a day one purchase, especially given the very respectable $31.99 price point after GCU

I honestly don't like where the Sonic brand is going. I haven't played Mania yet but other than that the whole series, while still playable, lacks anything that makes it stand out like the legendary older titles did.

As for this it does look decent and maybe it will do for me something the previous Sonic Racing games didn't as I didn't enjoy them myself but I think maybe there's only enough space for one kart racer in my life.

I'd rather see Sega pushing to make the best possible 3D Sonic game they possibly could. Something of the quality and scale of Odyssey.

@BlueOcean nice to see another BK fan about the place.

@bluemage1989 Thanks and same!

About 3D Sonic you are right and Sonic Forces is disappointing, unfortunately. It could have been great.

Forget the release date, I'm more concerned about the game in general. It doesn't look good at all. Honestly, I'm shocked Sega didn't just port Sonic & All-Stars Racing Transformed to the Switch? I guarantee a port of that game would've sold better than what TSR is going to sell.
