Topic: Guardian Weapons BOTW

What's up all, new to the forums! Hoping you guys can help me with a quick answer, as I'm just not sure what their purpose is. I've collected a few weapons from fallen guardians in shrines, etc such as the Guardian Sword, Spear, etc. Are these crucial for a certain point in the game? Do I need to be holding onto these until I reach certain Guardians later in the game? I used one simply because I didn't have any more room, but I'm getting the sense as I progress in BOTW that there will be many more Guardian weapons.
