Topic: Good pro controller case?

I have the RDS deluxe traveler, and the spot for the joycon grip/pro controller. Problem is the pro controller has like no grip to secure it. It will go up when I'm trasport and hit the top of the controller. Works great with the joy con grip though. So I'm looking for a nice hard case for the pro controller that won't hit any of the buttons.

Any recommendations are appreciated.

i made my own using a case similar to those pelican case for cameras. it now holds 4 pro controllers and 2 joycon grips, getting ready for super smash on 8 players. and i also have another case that holds the console, two pros, the dock and other accessories.
similar to the one below

how do i post pictures?

i forgot about imgur! thanks @PolarExperience . so i had one of these laying around with an extra foam i bought. converted my old Oil traveling case to a 6 controller holder case. all joysticks on straight and have no pressure on it.
This is what i originally used it for. i hope this isnt illegal to post. In California, its legal now.

@wayne858 nice but I would turn the Pro controller up instead of down as that would press on the buttons and drain the battery as it would constantly search for connections. But that design makes it interesting to get one and try it myself since I have 4 pro and 2 joy controller setup. I have been looking for project like this.

@wayne858. That's neat. I'm looking for something that only holds one or two though. Probably just one.

Lol, illegal in California? You guys have the strangest laws.

@Trajan hahaha no i said legal. marijuana is legal. first picture is what i originally used this case for. so my glass doesnt break and my weed doesnt smell up the car. i bought this case about 5 years ago and bought extra foam just incase.

@SwitchForce i placed them upsdide so that i can see the light on the controller blink. just wanted to make sure im not draining the battery and the light will indicate that. Also there is foam at the botton of the box so the R, ZR, L and ZL buttons are not depressed. although i wish i got a bigger one to fit 8 controllers. im preparing for super smash bros.

@wayne858 If you do if possible about a upload cut out diagram that might peak other's interest to make this setup. It's a royal pain to take so many controllers on the road and not having something to prevent them from turning on by accident and running out of juice at the worse time.

@Ryzaerian I solved the issue of this. I took a foam pad I had sewn hook Velcro in for use as a wedge for an appendix holster I no longer use. The top of the case let it stick, but I also attached some 3m sticky loop to it too. Now it stays in place and by testing it with the add controller feature, it is not hitting any buttons.

@SwitchForce sorry for the late response. my interior foam is about 12" x 9" x 3.75". id would prefer getting one that is slightyly over 3.75" deep. 4.5" is what i would go for, maybe deeper if you want to fit a dock in there. im not sure if youre familiar withe these waterproof shock resistant cases but the foams consist of many small cubes so you can peel out these little small squares to configure any shape. each square is about: 0.6" x 0.6". I didnt measure the pro controllers but they seem to take up 9x3 of the squares, with the joysticks taking up 1x1 square per joystick. i honestly just had an extra foam laying around and decided to see try to fit as many controllers into the foam as possible. if you going for super smash bros like me, i would suggest something slightly bigger to fit 8 controllers. Im sure each brand has differernt foam dimensions and my case doesnt seem to have a name brand on it. and i forgot where i had purchased it from. i would just suggest getting one slightly deeper and bigger if you want to fit more in it such as the dock or switch console it self. I hope this helps and if you have any questions. i will do my best to help answer. my other suggestion is to buy extra foam. its nice to use this case for other stuff such as a camera, your oil rig, your pistol, dildo, fleshlight and other toys. the high end brand of this type of case is the Pelican but i think the generic ones will do just fine. if i recall pelican can run for over $100 and i think i bought mine for $30, and the extra foam was about $5. extra foam came as a 3 piece set shown in the picture below.

Thanks, no problem on the late reply. I got wondering how you cut the middle piece holding the controllers. I have to look into this as I have two Joycons and 4 Pro controllers like you demo. And having something to hold them helps. I got the Nintendo backpack but that will be where the Amiibos will go so nothing gets squashed or broken along with the Dock and cables. Now this winter I have to do some homework to get it together. And if Nintendo made something to hold the controllers like you did I would be enthusiastic to get it. I like to get another 4 pro controller but as of right now if I keep my two black and X2 and Splatoon 2 controllers and my SSB Ultimate bundle with Pro controller and separate SSB controller that would make it 8 all together. That would be a family or kids free for all gaming. So I will have to consider a 8 controller case design now.

@SwitchForce i didnt do any cutting, the foam is made to allows you to pluck those small squares out. you just pull on it. i think its call pick-and-pluck foam

Ok, I'll have to definitely look into this project as homework to get it out of the garage.

Thanks for the video link I thought one would have to cut and cut and ops. Now I see it helps make it easier to figure which case would fit eight controllers.

My little brother Stooper101 (he doesn't use nintendolife tho) has a pro controller and a seperate steam controller. Due to the steam controller always sitting on his desk, he just uses the box the steam controller came in to hold his pro controller. Styrafoam and all! They just happen to be the same size. Coincidence? I think not!

I do stupid stuff on youtube.com/mysticbros, so check it out if your bored or whatever.
Or don't, it's your time after all.

They are based on gamer grips and hand-size so that would mean they would be dsegins the same way as well. So their coincidence would eventually happen.
