So I've beaten the game (it was fantastic), but here still seems to be one scorecard I haven't filled out. Is just says ???. Is there a secret course I'm missing?
@Spoony_Tech I've played against my Rival and in the tourney on Blue Moon Dunes, but not a bog standard round. And having just checked, you're absolutely right! No BMD score card (despite having a Match Card)! How strange...
Is there a way to reset a match? Sometimes I make a stupid mistake early on, and I want to reset the entire match, but I can't seem to find the button...
@Octane There's no instant reset button, but I think if you quit the game (bottom option in the pause menu) and restart, you should be back at the beginning of the tourney.
@Spoony_Tech I'm doing one of the challenges where you need to finish five courses in a limited amount of shots. And they basically need to be perfect, all of them. So whenever you make a small mistake, you kinda have to reset the game. It's pretty annoying at this point...
@SKTTR It's really less about the Golf and more about the story. While the golfing can be fun it takes a backseat imo. In other words I don't feel compelled to play the golfing just for fun like I did in Mario. It's there to fill in the story gaps at least for me it was. With that said the golfing here is more challenging though as the courses have a lot of obstacles other then the normal sand traps and such. One of the courses didn't even have any greens.
@Spoony_Tech
I have to respectfully disagree a bit.
Make no mistake: the golfing and all of its trappings and mechanics are the majority of this game. MOST of your side quests and main quests involve golfing. Maybe not playing full rounds or even holes, but perhaps a putting exercise, driving exercise, chipping, etc.
The golfing system is fun, though. It's deceptively deep and allows you to play simple or more in-depth.
I had to put the game down for a little bit after I put about 10 hours in. Honestly, I was wishing for some more frequent non-golfing missions. I ended up finishing the game, and overall I would recommend it (especially at the price - can't beat that), but in my opinion the missions are not as varied as I was hoping.
The devs said they already submitted a patch to Nintendo to fix the bugs the game has, have we had any news on whether the patch was approved already or not?
@Luna_110 I haven't seen any news of the sort as of yet. For me however it's too late as I just don't see myself ever playing the game again. Good for a one through but like I just said the golf isn't compelling enough to return just to play a round of it.
Altough the bugs never took any enjoyment out of the game for me. I came across about 5 to 7 of them 2 causing full resets but I literally started in the same room.
I remember why I stopped playing this game, you can't quit or restart if you're on the course. If you miss your first shot, you end up spamming the A-button for a minute, wasting all your shots until you can start again.
There are a few side quests/challenges where you have to use the putter and nothing else, but I can't get the ball to go far enough, even though I've upgraded my power quite a bit. Is there a way to hit it further with the putter?
