Topic: game download

So I bought a game from the US amazon store for a digital download but I live in Japan so I'm connected to japanese internet so when I connect to the eshop it is the japanese one. So when I try to redeem my code it just gives me the error saying incorrect code. Is there anyway to fix this?

is this for Switch game?

if so, you will need to create a US account on your Switch, log into the US eshop from your Switch and redeem your code.

You can then play the game on either your US or Japanese account on your Switch (when you start the game, you are asked which user/account will play)

if its a Wii U or 3DS game ... those consoles are region-locked. So depends where you purchased them. You can't buy a Wii U or 3DS in Japan, and use a game from US (even download from US Amazon) - won't work
