So, this is actually the most exciting third party announcement I've heard this year. Still looking forward to DOOM, but I know I'll have more fun with this.

I'm expecting this to be the definitive version of the game. Combining the touch controls of the Vita release and possibly even motion controlled aiming! The increased power of the Switch in comparison with the Vita should ensure that there's not much of a performance gap between the two versions.

@Ralizah
Remember this is not Double Peace but a brand new game. My only complaint with the vita port was the long loading times but I've not noticed a drop in gameplay performance. I just hope Nintendo doesn't step in with their censors, if the system is region free then why censor it?

@GameOtaku Why would Nintendo censor it? They're not involved in the localization.

No but they could have some sway when it comes to which games for the console come stateside.

@GameOtaku Nintendo don't seem to care about Bethesda releasing 2 games all about killing Nazis on their console and they backed Bayoneta 2, so from a third party perspective I think Nintendo don't care too much anymore.

From images I've seen it looks like some pervy (especially with talk of censorship) anime Japanese girl dating game/interactive story - what actually is it?

@zitpig

its an on-rails shooter - think 'House of the dead' - more pervy less scary

I just paid 6 dollars for the first ('Double Peace') game on USA PSN and started the first level today. Glad number 2 is coming to Switch - if I get it at all, I would get it on Switch : although, I am not sure the portable feature of Switch would get a lot of use with this game, its not the type of game you want to be seen playing outside ...

@GameOtaku Double Peace is barely able to run on the PS Vita. It borders on being unplayable. And Nintendo will have no influence over this. You realize they're not some vast government entity that exists to censor all video games that come to their platform, right?

I hope Nintendo doesn't blow up an orphanage!

-my opinion on a situation only slightly less plausible

Watch Dogs had topless nudity and Nintendo published its perv simulator (have no problem with this btw) in Bayonetta 2, I wouldn't lose my mind about 'censorship.' I actually go both ways on the issue though. If it's a game featuring adults that look like adults and the developer wants to put nudity in that's fine and I don't think publishers should be going out of the way to say 'remove it' unless it effects actually getting the game on shelves. However, some of these Japanese games cross the line. Even if they have characters that are supposed to be of age, a lot of times they don't look it. That's where cultural differences come into play and when a company like Nintendo of America, or Sony or MS' Western branches, need to step in and say tone it down.

@Gamer83 The only reason a game should be censored is if the ratings board for that particular country/region has a problem with something within the game. Otherwise Nintendo/Sony/Microsoft should have no say in what gets censored. If they approve the game to be released on their platforms then they shouldn't then have a say in what is in the game. More so now that all three platforms are region free, it would make little difference anyway.

I don't want to derail the thread further so I'll just say we'll have to agree to disagree. If certain content is preventing the publisher of a game (whichever company it is) from selling it on certain shores, I have no problem with them stepping in to regulate a little bit.

LOL. Cheers. I like HOTD, but this just seems a bit too "Japanese" for me... LOL

Well, Gal Gun: Double Peace managed to make it to most of the developed world uncensored (except for New Zealand, where it was apparently banned, which is pretty extreme considering even the famously prudish Australia didn't go that far), so I doubt the sequel will pose much of a threat. I can't believe people are worried about Nintendo "censoring" something like this when we've had two pretty suggestive SK games hit the 3DS now.

Think of it as a shooter where your gun just makes people feel really, really happy, and there's no issues.

Nothing should ever be censored!
Cultural differences need to be accepted and respected!
If this is not your game you shouldn't be in this branch of the forum. You should be playing your regular, safe, and kind games and visiting their forum branches.

I am old enough.

I enjoyed Double Peace on my VIta, even with the long loading time. I hope they improve the Controls in this Game, the Ps4 version didn´t have motion controll and the Vita Version no touch controll. This should be implemented in the Switch Version. And please no censoring. I look Forward to it.
