They're on like every other platform. You have no excuses at this point. Go and play the FF9 version that was released on steam last year and ps4 yesterday. Best version of the best game imo.
As I said, they look like they're gonna keep adding more content, probably in part due to these other platforms getting releases. This trailer had a quick preview of the Ignis DLC, the multiplayer one and then some further story stuff they're adding:
Really wish I hadn't played this game on launch. It looks like a Splatoon affair. If you wait for a year, the game's twice as good.
For anyone who's already played the main game, pause that trailer at 2:17. Looks like we're getting an important additional scene for the story.
@Dezzy Didn't say i had any excuses for it, just that i would love those games on the switch, I prefer games like that on a portable, and yeah i know there is FF 9 on PS Vita, but my hands are way to big to play the ps vita for long durations at a time.
As I suggested, they're definitely continuing making more stuff for it. And I seriously hope this sentence from Tabata means they're making the 2nd continent open-world.
“Not only are we further investigating characters through additional episodes, if we don’t convey the setting that is the foundation of the world, we won’t be able to convey the characters’ way of life.”
If they make the second continent open world and pad out the 2nd half of the story, this game would probably go from 8/10 to 9.5/10 in my eyes. Those were really my only complaints.
Depends what they add though! I doubt they'd just make the entire continent completely empty. They'd hopefully add some towns and sidequests and whatnot. The actual continent looked pretty interesting from the train track I thought.
Given how they want to keep it going into 2018 with new content, I definitely think they'll try and get a Switch version going. Although I bet the downgrading will be huge.
If the PC and Switch version includes all of the DLC and updates at launch, those versions of the game will review a lot better than the original game, which will help sales on these new platforms.
They've apparently just updated the game and added 10 minutes of extra cutscenes to chapter 12 (obviously don't watch it if you haven't played it yet or want to replay with all the new stuff)
Really bizarre and randomly done.
They really should just come out and admit they released an unfinished game. Really good for PC players who are gonna get this version first time though.
One of the good thing: The trailer looks good, and it seems they changed the gameplay and other things on the Pocket Edition to make it play better on consoles (If you look at the trailer, you can see how the fights differ)
I'm just waiting confirmation on how they handle episodes and if it's still open world or not. Otherwise I think this is a game I will love to replay (even though I own it on Steam already)
Definitely no what i wanted to see. Haven’t played FF XV yet but now i know i will get it on steam for sure. When i compare visuals, this version just looks like a joke. Maybe with the game being independent title with those graphics i wouldn’t mind but i can’t justify getting this instead of much better looking normal version.
I think it's more to the point and abridged than the full game.
So it's kinda like a simpler quicker way to experience the story.
Hmm, not sure if that's a good or a bad thing. On the one hand it could be good because I don't always have time for long RPGs, but I hope it's not too dumbed down.
