@Tyranexx yea it'll be interesting for sure. Most FF games are. Yea I decided to let it sit again. There's no way I can have 2 rpgs going at once 😉

@NintendoByNature, I hope you enjoy FFX! It was THE game that really solidified JRPGs as a genre I'd actively seek out when I played it back on PS2, and while my mileage with FF has been very mixed since then, I'm glad to report that when I got around to playing X HD on Switch it absolutely held up for me & I place it alongside Ys VIII & all the Xenoblades (2, Torna, & Definitive Edition) as one of my favorite JRPGs on the system.

@NintendoByNature I don't blame you. I try not to have two RPGs going at once either. At least not if they're both in the medium to long range. XD

@RR529 wow, good to hear. Glad it's that good of a game. I'm real excited to dive in over these next few weeks. 7 and 9 were superb for me.

Final Fantasy XIII's leveling up plus paradigms are way more complicated than FF8 junction gameplay.

Im still trying to figure out Final Fantasy XIII.

Gotta ask..for X on switch, how come all of the main characters are remastered and all of the non main characters (villagers) have the same stale look about them? The game is absolutely amazing so far, but its something I've noticed and I can't understand why the main characters actually look like a current gen console character and the rest of the NPCs dont.

I don't think anyone exactly knows the answer to that, since SE has never disclosed that detail, @NintendoByNature .... Then, since I don't tend to pay much attention to all the NPCs, I hadn't even particularly noticed! How far have you got now, then?

@BruceCM I usually don't myself, but its really noticeable. For instance, go look up Dona and barthello. They both have the same face and a good chunk of everyone has the same face as well.. my thoughts are pretty much outlined in this game faq below, even though they're discussing the ps4 version. I think it's the same version anyway.

I love the game otherwise though. I just thought it was such a wierd inclusion in the game. I just got passed the first tournament (wakka played) and I fought the mechanical boss on the ship with the crane. Super good game so far.

Yeah, Google certainly had quite a bit on it, just no definite answers about why, @NintendoByNature .... If you like the Blitzball, there's plenty of optional matches you can find & some supposedly give quite good rewards but I never bothered with them

@BruceCM yea its not game breaking obviously but it is kind of jarring when main characters are great to look at that then you have these cookie cutter npcs that all have the same face. But the characters are growing on me. Love wakka. Hate lulu, Yuna is decent. Tidus is growing on me too.

As for blitzball they did a whole tutorial and then I didn't even play in the match!!

Yuna is the strongest character in FF X if you grind her sphere grid.
If you fill all sphere grid nodes and change some nodes with higher parameter number, you can have Yuna with All 255 for every stats and a single hit from her staff can do 99,999 damage.

Only Yuna can summon Aeons and you must get Yojimbo if you need a 100% Instant Death from his Zanmato for every enemies including Bosses, but it needs some money (you have to pay with any number of Gil to make Yojimbo unleash his Sword skills), loyalty with Yuna and some luck. Even Yojimbo can use Zanmato without paying money or as counter attack.

@Anti-Matter so admittedly I haven't been using Yuna as much unless I want a healer or to use an aeon. Her staff attacks don't do much in the way of damage. So I've been using lulu mostly. But, I just got some new abilities with Yuna( elemental Nuls?). I haven't tried them out yet.

Well, there's certainly the optional matches, if you're keen, @NintendoByNature .... Glad you like most of the characters, since some people aren't keen on Tidus & quite a few don't like Wakka but I think both are good, as characters While Lulu might grow on you! She's at least useful in battles, since you hardly want to be using summons most of the time but Yuna is awesome to have around

I almost never use Wakka in FF X as his ultimate weapon must be obtained from Blitzball tournament and i really don't like Blitzball at all as i never like soccer or any kind sports looks like soccer whatsoever reasons. My main team in FF X are Tidus, Yuna, Auron, Lulu.

@Anti-Matter Yuna was a beast. I was so surprised. Normally the "white mage" isn't the strongest character.

Been a long long time since I played Final Fantasy VII since 1999 or 2000.

Been playing it for a week so far for my Nintedo Switch Lite. I just missed the Ramuh materia at the stupid Chocobo racing hall lobby. Oh well. Cant go back and redo it since im already at the Wutai land. Been level grinding and limit break grinding for everyone its crazy lol.

Everyone in the game already have their Level 3 Limits except for Cait and Vincent. I have one Mythril to turn into the Gospel limit whenever I cross the lands with the Tiny Bronco plane. Forgot how insane it is to use Tifa's limits since theyre in the style of casino jackpot thingies.

Vincent and his Limits which turn him into creatures I still think are a bit odd but makes sense since Hojo did experiments on him yada yada

Well that's cos FFX doesn't really have character classes. They're just imitated based on their initial stats.
