I loved soccer so much as a kid. It was my dream, my life. I kind of wrote off sports games the last 15 years, but I'm all in for this. I love games on Switch that let you play with others, and FIFA will offer exactly that.
I'm pleasantly surprised with the quality of this version. It's dang near as good as the PS4 and X1 versions, yet all on a handheld screen! That's insane!
If there's one thing this whole experience has taught me, it's that people selectively choose evidence that supports their beliefs, rather than basing their beliefs on the evidence. People want to hate this game because it's made by EA, and they're looking for any evidence to support them in their endeavor to pan FIFA. I mean, aside from the story mode which, let's be honest, isn't really worth squat in a sports game anyways (I'm sure it would be a great little mode to have but the entertainment comes from the sport itself- the story mode has become nothing more than a meaningless bullet point for those looking to spin a narrative), this game offers peak performance(1080p 60fps with PBR), full suite of modes and even an extra mode not offered in other versions (which easily makes up for the lack of story mode), and obviously the full package of advantages inherently offered as a Switch title (local multiplayer and local wireless, all control methods supported including single Joycon, both competent console version and immaculate handheld version included as one)... they've made a compelling argument for gamers to buy this version.

@DTMOF84 : That's not going to happen. In fact, I expect that the Switch version will not be available at a discount at launch, while other console versions are typically available for $10-$20 less than the RRP.
I'm yet to see any cheap or significantly discounted Switch games at retail. Has-Been Heroes, for example, is half-price on other platforms at the moment (in Australia), while it's still full-priced on Switch.

@Qwertyninty they did a great effort but let me add a few points , FIFA is one of the least demanding games i can ever think off and even though i only have 4 year experience in the gaming industry , i can confidently say that i alone can get FIFA frosbite edition running at 60FPS though i will take pretty long time. to clarify that even better I used to play fifa 17 on an intel atom laptop with integrated intel hd graphics and 2 gigs of ram at 30 fps and 720p ( sometimes i lower it when it heats up) so yeah EA has no reason to not run frosbite but i will give them my appreciation for making a great port

I really don't care what engine the game uses. I don't know why so many people act like the Switch is going to or should be able to handle the same graphical power as the Xbox One and PS4. Take it for what it is and enjoy it. I've never had any interest in a FIFA game until now because I have the ability to start it on my TV and pick up and go with it.
@DTMOF84 am with you on the enjoyment part but to be honest switch can more than handle FIFA on frosbite , I literally have the game running(FIFA17) on an intel atom tablet .... With 42 giga flop of power( though flops is never an acurate scale) so it was literally running on a device ( if we use PS vita as a scale ) that i less powerful than a vita , i will post videos in a few days
@mahmoodinho98 well hopefully with some time then we can see some impressive things come out. I just never expected to play Xbox One quality games on it to begin with. So my expectations have been for it have been met so far. Although I've really only played Wii U ports on it.
