Hi Guys,

Not sure if this has been asked before. My region is account region is set to Japan as i am currently in Tokyo for long term. However, the eShop's language doesn't seem to have an option to change. Is this changable?

@zentient What you need to do is create another account on Nintendo site and keep that one JPN and one in US if that is the case so that you can get games from both location using different account on the same Switch. Never use one account for aka US and JPN not a good decision. I have a JPN account on Nintendo so that anything like DLC from JPN Amazon orders I can use that account for downloads and I did that once already and it now work on the US account as well. That extra was from PlayAsia shoot'em game that had a freebie but once I used the JPN account it downloaded and was able to use on both accounts for the game.

@zentient Nope, eshops do not support different languages. If you use the Japanese eshop it will be Japanese. American or Australian will be English. Not sure how it works in Europe, if it's a "European" shop with different European languages, or if it's by which country in Europe you are in. I haven't tried that one. But this is a UK website so I am sure people on here can answer.

@SwitchForce is right though, you can have accounts for different regions. I regularly use both an American and Japanese account on the same Switch. The accounts do require different emails. Or did at least when I made them.

@zentient forgot to mention you'll get JPN news feed until you change that JPN Nintendo account back to EN. That is what I did - so once your DLC or Digital is downloaded go online and change the JPN Nintendo account back to EN and you'll be back gaming. Took me a double take to do that before I realized it. Just make sure to have different emails they frown on the same email account tied to Nintendo as mentioned.
