Topic: eShop credit card issues...

E3 is long gone now...yet this problem is still around. A couple of weeks ago I tried buying Hollow Knight and I keep getting a processing error. People suggested that deleting card info and re-entering it solves it, nope...No matter what I did, I got a processing error. I figured this was an E3 thing, so I gave up and bought the Switch version elsewhere.

Fast forward to now, the problem is still there. Not only that, but I decided to use Nintendo's site this time and I STILL get the error, what the hell Nintendo?! Do you just, randomly hate me all of the sudden now? :/

So now I gotta wait even longer to get Mario Maker 2, I was hoping to play this at midnight...
Has anyone else had this issue? I'm not even going to bother going to Nintendo for help, I feel like I won't get anywhere with them...

I'd say you are better off contacting nintendo than posting on here. Can't say I have ever had that issue.

I had a similar problem once. A game was not showing up on the Switch's eShop at all, even though it was supposed to be there. You could see it on Nintendo's website, but I would get an error every time I tried to buy it from there. I called Nintendo and they fixed the problem in a day or two. That's what I would suggest.

I just figured people would've found a solution or something, because this has gone on for quite a while. People have said that they called Nintendo and got absolutely nowhere with them. Main reason why I posted here...

Whatever, thankfully I remembered that Humble is extremely fast with responding and refunds. Decided to get a refund there and buy digital pre-paid codes from Amazon. (I forgot about that. >_>)

Anyways, if anyone has any ideas on how to fix the issue, let me know.

This is one of the reasons I never use creditcards and stuff online, I always buy eshop cards, I dont want them to know al mine information

@Joeynator3000 Only other thing I can think of is maybe your banking company isn't allowing the transaction for some reason. Like you said, usually removing and adding the info fixes it otherwise.

Weird. I have never had this issue before. Do you use a credit card or a debit card?

@Joeynator3000 It sounds to me like the issue might be with your credit card. Have you checked to see if your company is possibly blocking the transaction? They might have flagged it as the card being stolen or something. When I used my Visa on PS4 the first time, they did that and I had to contact them and let them know that, no, I did in fact buy a PS4 and use my card with them.

Although I usually prefer to just load money onto my account via cards that I buy with cash at the store.

I'm probably not going to bother anymore, I'll just buy digital prepaid cards via Amazon...or get games from Humble...or something. lol

Are you able to purchase stuff elsewhere online with your card?

@Joeynator3000 Well, I mean, you really might want to check with whomever does the banking stuff then. Because if your bank did flag it as stolen, you might find yourself unable to use it in general. If a company thinks your card is stolen, they lock it making it unusable until you confirm it is stolen or is fine.
