@CroRock Not sure why it's doing that. Have a look in the options and see if the controls are on the recommended settings. You can reset defaults too just to make sure nothings changed.
I don't play with the default controls myself, I change the recommended settings to flipped triggers, I find ZL/ZR much better than L/R. I also set blanks to A. That works better for me.
@CroRock Wait I just realised mines is doing the same. I hadn't even noticed as I'm used to twin stick shooters controlling like it is now. I just Googled it and have found the answer. It's intentional. Here someone asked the question on Steam and the developer replied.

"I just realized this is not a bug. You must hold the right stick to aim, it is a twin stick shooter. We do something to the way your character points the weapon after you have played a few rounds. The way that it works after the change is intentional. The way the game is meant to be played is with both sticks.
Basically what is happening is that initially the left stick would change the angle of the gun to match the character's movement, which looks better. We found however, that this would confuse people into never using the right stick to aim, which is necissary to succeed. So what we did was make the left stick not change the angle of the gun for the first few runs (coming out to a variable amount of time for diffent users). Once those runs are up though, the left stick will effect the angle of the gun, IF you are not using the right stick. With our aim assist, the guns are locking on and some people are attempting to play that way. You are supposed to be using both sticks at all times to aim and move in opposite directions. Our idea for making it less confusing seems to have made it more confusing, I apologize. All I can say is think geometery wars- thumbs on both sticks at all times."
So this is intentional and no word in game about that. I reinstalled game two times lol. There shoud be an option for this imo.
Btw.. Good little game, highly addictive..
How am I suppose to give that escalator guy on 3rd chamber 3 shields?! This game is so hard it starts to frustrate me! Low money income and few expensive items in shop at each chamber.. sometimes without any shields to buy. Too. damn. hard.
@CroRock Haha yes it's a real challenge getting all of the elevators. My tips is play as the pilot because he gets a discount at the shop. It's still hard as hell though! xD
@faint I've gave up looking for those secret rooms.I found a couple on my first few runs but none since, well except for one that I'll explain below. I believe for the wall to crack in the first place it has to be hit by bullets from your own non-default gun or enemy fire. There is suppose to be on average 1 secret room per floor and some of the rooms are huge and may only contain a handful of enemies so the chances of gun fire hitting that exact spot in the wall are pretty slim. Then there is the time wasted looking for it and the blank you need to use to open it up. I've read the rewards contained within these rooms are often meager,like a brown chest and half a heart or even worse, a blank to replace the one you just used. I gave up looking for them.
I had a bit of mad luck the very first time I made it to the 2nd floor. I used a blank on what I thought was a crack in the wall, turned out it wasn't but the blast was powerful enough to open up a crack further down the wall that I hadn't noticed. Couldn't believe my luck. What are the chances of that haha
I read somewhere on the internet that color of the torches in rooms indicate for hidden rooms. Normal ones are yellow/orange but sometimes they are purple or something like that. But I never bothered with secret rooms because I couldnโt find one. I suck finding secret rooms in Binding of Isaac too so I need to learn live with that.
Also Iโm playing as black guy aka marine because extra shield and his basic weapon is also good with many bullets in round. I was so close once to get that third shield to elevator guy but was cheap shooted by some mob immediately I enter a room. I almost throw my Pro Controller! That was once and never so close again
22 runs in and I'm still pretty pants at this game. I can semi-reliably get to the second chamber in some kind of fighting condition. Bullet King is pretty easy, Gatling Gull gives me a bit more trouble but the bloody Trigger Twins get me almost every time.
But the handful of times I've faced the second bosses I've been promptly annihilated. Those Lead Maidens nail me once or twice more often than not, so I'm never in good shape when I go in for the boss anyhow.
sigh Addictive little game though, this. I'll get better at it yet.
I haven't made it past the 2nd chamber boss either. I've made it to the boss several times and last time I came within 2 or 3 hits of defeating the Ammoconda. I went into the boss room in pretty good condition, 4 hearts and armed with a powerful rapid fire gun,I felt confident of victory. All was going well until I was disturbed by my mother. I had to pause it for a couple of minutes and when I went back to it, I was promptly set on fire then obliterated. The damn thing only had a smidgen of health left, gutted I was!
Only played this one for a few hrs but have finally managed to beat the first boss. It was that Bird/Stallone-Rambo one. I only managed to do it as I had picked up this gun which acted like a swarm of bees and they auto aimed and swarmed the boss.
Naturally, I died in the very first room of the second 'chamber' or 'level' ?

The update will add a lot of new room layouts, weapons, items and enemies. Apparently it will make item drop rates more generous too, but you can revert back to the old drop rates if you prefer.
