I have my doubts on X. If they wanted to release it, they would have already.

I'm entirely expecting XI, unless Switch completely bombs.

Bioshock is nearly 10 years old. Let's play through its horrific environment and see why its so beloved!

@kkslider5552000 I would love DQX over here, but us Americans are to into Witcher, Dark Souls, and other bland RPGs where everyone looks like a demon.

Have you ever actually played those games? Dark Souls 3 is very combat focused and isn't for everyone, but The Witcher 3 is far from bland, and not everyone looks like demons either. I don't find DS3 bland either, but people not into that sort of game might.

Ive owned nothing but playstations the past decade, if i find the latest games bland, its my opinion. And look at bloodborne, dark souls, witcher, that new game with the samuria, they all look the same, no creativity at all.

Dragon Quest X and XI are also coming to the PS4, and they look great. Unless the Switch version offers a completely unique gameplay experience, I don't see any reason to ignore the PS4 versions.

Dark Souls 3, Bloodborne, and Nioh are in the same genre, and play very similar to one another. Heck, Dark Souls 3 and Bloodborne were made by the same company. It's like comparing Overwatch to Team Fortress 2. They seem pretty close to the same because they're the same kind of game with some differences here and there.

The Witcher 3 looks somewhat similar to Dark Souls in that they're both in a medieval fantasy setting, but Dark Souls 3 is much more well....dark looking than TW3, not to mention how drastically different they play. Dark Souls 3/Bloodborne/Nioh are all about strategic combat, whereas TW3 has a simple combat system in comparison, and focuses on characters, story, side quests, exploring the open world etc etc. You're really comparing apples and oranges here. The setting is sort of similar, at least in the case of DS3, but the aesthetic and gameplay are completely different.

It's totally fine to dislike those games and the PS4 in general, but it's hard to take you seriously when you just bring up the same few games over and over, three of which play extremely similarly to each other, and two of which were made by the same company. Besides, you don't even know the title of "that new game with the samurai", which makes me think you know very little about the games you're bashing all over the forums for no apparent reason.

Anyway, I'd like to play a newer DQ game someday. Been interested in the 3DS remakes, and my only experience with the main series DQ games was briefly playing 1 and 2 on GB once.

But I'd definitively go with XI over X.

I plan on getting both. I'll import X if it doesn't come over and take advantage of the Switch's region-free feature. I have particularly high hopes for XI. DQ8 stands as one of my favorite games of all time.

They'll be translating it for the PS4 version though so the cost of releasing a Switch version in the west will be pretty small.

Converted from Sony to Nintendo during 7th gen and never looked back.

I am not hating on sony, once again i own a ps4 but the nintendo switch will blow it away.

true, but I've seen weirder things happen.

The Ps2 version of Symphonia never came out here, is what immediately comes to mind.

@ReeLongbow one game that is coming for the ps4 that looks amazing is ni no kuni 2. I had no idea about the first one that came out on the ps3 but I am thinking of getting the second installment. Now if the switch would get a port of that game that would be sweet especially portable.

I understand what you mean about graphics but thats just realistic vs stylized. Its how things are. But much of the game play is just as good as japanese games.

No creativity in Nioh? What are all these games that take place in 1600s Japan? How does The Witcher 3 look like Dark Souls 3?

Your opinion is objectively bad.

Edit: Joined Sunday.. gotcha. Half of your posts on the site so far are about how Sony has bland boring games (plus the edgy post about how everyone with a cell phone is a zombie). Looks like you're going to be one of those users..

@Tsurii Sometimes the things people say just do not compute.

I could say in my opinion Finding Nemo is very similar to The Godfather. That would make no sense to any reasonable person.

I fully expect people to rush to the TC's defense for 1) half the site believes all games on the PS4 and XB1 are the same and 2) like 2% of this community has played Nioh.

Either way, saying a game which takes place in 1600s Japan about ancient mythology lacks creativity in this video game climate is absolutely ridiculous.. never mind the fact it plays/looks nothing like The Witcher 3.

Edit: Ignoring the TC's agenda for a moment, for anyone who thinks Nioh is a clone of other games.. its been in and out of development since before 2004. This game has been around since before Dark Souls or The Witcher even existed as games. So its impossible to say its borrowed all of its assets and lacks all creativity (still looking for that ancient Japanese mythology game it stole from) since we have no idea what had already existed back in 2004.
