@HauntedNostril
It's just that games are so much more convenient (and thus enjoyable) on Switch.
Last generation, I played all multiplats on PS4 (well, when Wii U was around I mean). I just didn't want to play them on that console. There was no reason to, aside from a few select games that used the gamepad really well.
But I like multiplats on Switch more, so I really try to buy all my games on that system unless it's a game that simply will never come. In which case I have no problem buying it on another system. But I can't tell you how many games I've seen start coming over to Switch, after I've already bought them on PS4 or X1. And honestly I'm just tired of buying games twice. Same thing is going on with digital games getting a physical release. Oh I decided to stop buying digital games on the eShop. If two or three years go by and it still doesn't have a physical release, then I'll buy it digitally. Only exception is games I 100% know for a fact will never get a physical release.

Cool, thanks for that. I hear a lot of "I'd rather have it on Switch." - I've even heard "The thought of going back to ps4 makes me feel sick!" and I'm always interested in people's reasoning, mostly because I have my own logic for preferring this platform (as I mentioned).
Also I am 100% with you on digital releases. I only grab hold of any retro titles I want to play again from the store, and other than that I will always hold out for physical release.
It's almost here. Again, no one talking about this game? No one talking about Valkyria Chronicles 4? What's going on. Did Switch fans stop playing video games all of a sudden 😉
A masterpiece according to reviews. Here's Angry Joe's review. It's really good

@JaxonH I think its more less people talking about them in forums. While I am super excited for both games (hell, Valkyria is tomorrow!), I also understand a majority of what both these games offer. Valkyria 4 is more or less Valkyria 1 and Dragon Ball FighterZ has been out for a good while now. No questions = not as much discussion. You'll see the more discussion and excitement on their respective news articles.
Although, in saying that, I think the character DLC's are the PERFECT thing to spend gold coins on. Not so expensive as to need a dragon's pile, but not too little to make it a throw away purchase. It just... fits.
Need to pre-order soon. Always do so last second just in case reviews are terrible or something. And this time its giving me a little anxiety considering I will miss a game if I forget D:
People might think I'm childish for my picture, and I am.
Favorite games: Super Mario Odyssey, Super Metroid, Mass Effect 2, Red Dead Redemption, and Sonic Generations
If you like Kirby, then you are a person I can trust.

I just preordered digitally, the Fighter Z Edition with character pass. I want the full experience since I split my time across so many games, I doubt I would have time to unlock all of them. I actually just used my recent gold coins on the subscription for online. A nice $10 off.
I hope you're right btw, I just remember DB Xenoverse 2 forum was lively at the time, despite being out for a while. And I think this game was much more highly anticipated. But you are right that the game has been out so people know what to expect. Hopefully after it releases more people will drop in and say hi. For VC4 as well.

@JaxonH I said this a week or so ago. I hope this sells well on Switch... IT DESERVES IT! Easily the best switch port even better than Bethesda games. This will be an evergreen title for me. It’s so much fun, runs so smooth, and the visual effects just don’t ever get boring.
I've put in around 15 hrs or so. Been mostly playing the storyline with a dabble in arcade mode and multiplayer gameplay. Have not gone online yet (except the one time I tried the demo) mainly because my free tryout of Switch Online ran out by the time I got the game.
I won't say that it is the best fighter game on the Switch at the moment but I'm having a blast playing it.
So, anyone know what happens if you lose in story mode?
I've heard pretty much everyone say that story mode is a cakewalk, and while I haven't lost any matches yet, I've come very close a few times as of late (usually the Clone Kid Buu or map boss matches), and am only a little way over halfway through the "villain" arc (the one with Frieza as the central character). I would assume I'd just have to try the map over again, but would my characters keep their current levels or would they level back down to where they were when I started the map?
I generally switch up my team all the time (so all my fighters are around the the same level, rather than three super strong characters and a bunch of weak ones).
Currently Playing:
Switch - Blade Strangers
PS4 - Kingdom Hearts III, Tetris Effect (VR)
The game asked me if I wanted to use simple controls but I said no. Now I want to try them but I can't find how to switch to simple controls. Does anyone know how to do it?

You go onto the next battle with the health of your fighters in the state it was in after the last battle. You can, of course, start over on the map again.
This game has made me a fan of Dragonball. I'd never even heard of DB before Fighter Z came out, but this game is so epic and badass that it got me curious about the reset of the Dragonball universe. Over the past few weeks I've bought several of the SH Figuarts Dragonball action figures (I haven't bought toys in years but these are dope). I've also watched a few of the movies (old and new) and some of the cartoons. I just got back from seeing the premier of the newest Dragonball movie Super Broly, and that's the best thing I've seen so far, that was awesome. I'm a fan now, and it's all because of Dragon Ball Fighter Z.
I'm not sure what you mean by alive, I don't really play it online but generally the game is real good, I like it alot
Ive been waiting for the DLC to go on sale for ages in the UK, gutted I got it on switch really, both season passes are on sale regularly on PS4 and that rubbish SNES game wasn't worth the pre order premium
@ralphdibny Thanks, what I mean by "alive" is does it still have an active online community? I know many fighter games like this tend to dwindle a lot once other fighters come along.
