Topic: Doom original - Login issues

So we are required to login to play Doom. Annoying but ok, apparently it’s a one off, I have a bnet account from other games so no biggie.

However I am experiencing an error on all login options. Logging in delivers an error screen and creating an account also delivers the error screen.

So currently I have purchased a title screen only.

Is anyone else having issues with this? Thinking the bnet login server has fallen over with demand?

I found it was a bit confusing, I was clicking create account when I should have been using the box to enter an e mail address before clicking create account. I assumed that the "already have an account" was a prompt to put my address in below when in actuality the address box is for entering an e mail to create a new account...but clicking already have an account takes you to a new screen to enter username and password for the Bethesda account. Not sure if this is your issue or if I've explained it well but I was stumped for a couple of minutes

I understand what you mean. Quite an odd setup for logging in really.

No for me I just get an error message. Today’s another day so fingers crossed login is now working!

No today is the same. All I get is:

ERROR LOGGING IN

[ OKAY ]

I get this for login and create account options. Very annoying!

Solved!

The issue is the login service is rubbish and has no useful information for errors.

I have a bnet account already but I obviously have the password wrong but system just says error instead of telling me what the problem is. Same issue for creating an account, an account already existed with email but it was telling me that.

So the fix for me was just create a new account and it worked.

Glad you got it working, the system is rubbish. Sort of couldn't resist at the price though, snapped up all 3 and I look forward to playing through them all fully!
