Topic: Don't be so discouraged.

I get that a decent number of people are unhappy with the new online, and I get that a decent number of people are unhappy with Let's Go Pikachu/Eevee. But don't let a couple of minor inconveniences or disappointments get you down overall. We are moving into a whole bunch of great content coming to Switch over the next year or so!

Just to name a few, we are getting Valkyria Chronicles 4, Disgaea 1 Complete, Wargroove, Tales of Vesperia(I think that's how it's spelled?), The World Ends with you, Katamari Damancy, Civilization 6, Steins Gate Elite all coming to the Switch. And we are getting Pokemon Let's Go, sure, but we are getting a "mainline" Pokemon game next year, and we are also getting Super Smash Brothers Ultimate and Animal Crossing and Fire Emblem Three Houses. As well as a new Luigi's mansion and Yoshi game. These are all coming up to look forward too and just the games I can remember off the top of my head. (because they are all games I intend to buy, unless my money situation radically changes)

The Switch is not crashing and burning. The sky is not falling. The negativity that has been swamping this site recently has been soul crushing. I am making an plea. Please, calm down a bit. Give things a chance to play out.

I for one know I have a mountain to look forward to. On top of a backlog I can't keep up with.

You can't make everyone happy all of the time. I'm still not seeing the disgust over the online. SNES will eventually make it to the system. They are giving us three new NES games every month at least through the end of the year.

I really can't figure out the angst toward the Let's Go Pokemon titles. Sure, this is for the more casual player, but what should people expect. GO has made billions of dollars. If they just get a fraction of those people to purchase the Switch for the interactivity, they will make a fortune. The idea that Game Freak would have a mainline Pokemon title available this close to Ultra Sun/ Ultra Moon is ludicrous.

Now, you are correct in saying that those who have a problem with each of the above mentioned games should have other things to choose from to keep them occupied. I'll admit that I was feeling that the Switch was leaving me a little longing up until the Direct. I thought it was one of their best ever. Plus, the system has a lot of good, fairly inexpensive titles available on the eShop.

If you only focus on the worst parts, no company will ever satisfy. Every single one will disappoint. There's a time and place for critique, but if a game company negatively effects your whole life, You might want to rethink some things.(Not talking to anyone in general, I will admit, I've fallen into the trap of being much too nitpicky in the past.)

I love nintendo, their games are a blast to play and are filled with pure-hearteded fun.
I can't wait for Luigi's mansion 3!! I loved the first, and the second was most definitely a well crafted game.

Eh, it's the internet so everyone is overjoyed to hate everything. I'm not in love with Nintendo's new online service but I'm still super happy with upcoming games and the Switch in general. (Fire Emblem, Metroid, and Shin Megami Tensei are more than enough to keep me happy. The rest is just icing on the cake).

People who dislike the Lets Go games just need to move on. No problem in not liking them, but there's also no need to harp on how much you dislike it. The mainline Pokemon is coming next year and no matter how you feel about the Lets Go games, they're genius from a business standpoint. Get the more casual Let's Go players to buy a Switch. Very smart imo.
