Hi, I am currently charging Switch while it is being docked and connected to TV, but turned off.
Sometimes I see that the TV recognizes HDMI input, but only for a second. I mean, when I go to sources menu, the connected HDMI to switch is shown greyed - as disabled. (this happens when the source is turned off).
Is it normal?
I didn't totally follow that, but if you dock your Switch I think it goes into sleep mode. You have to turn it and the TV on again to fully power it off.
If you mean the system is in "sleep" mode (the normal off unless you like forcing it to actual power off state), then it periodically should be polling for updates and news updates. I would imagine it briefly powers up at least in a medium power state every so often to check that.

I see "New source input" message from my TV at random intervals. It can be each 5 seconds, each 5 minutes, or each half an hour.
