The Switch doesn´t have a camera on the back, so augmented reality is likely not to be supported like on the 3DS.
Also there seems to be a single circular hole which might be a camera or sensor on the lover left side of the screen , which rules out a separate IR-source like in the New 3DS. Also, the placement of the sensor is on the bottom, so it might be more easily obscured than a placement on top.
Some rumors pointed to no camera in the portable unit.
Could it be a low light high fps sensor aimed at gestures and face-tracking ?
It looks a bit large for a basic ambient light sensor, but I guess it could be that they just made the hole that large for some manufacturing reason. The ambient light / proxy sensor on the iphone seems smaller, but it is hard to get a feel for scale.
I don´t think it´s a microphone because it´s embedded behind glass The speaker slots do have holes through the glass, and there´s something going on at the near the vents at the opposite side to the headphone jack. There seems to be two holes, but one might be an LED and the other image image artifact. ( Think Nintendo is holding back on something )
