Topic: Do you feel like the Switch is going to be a let down?

@shaneoh Really, Zelda won't satisfy you after you beat it, and there is no multiplayer. Cool, it's the best solo experience, but shouldn't you have something to actualy keep playing after you beat it? I'm more tempted to bying Bomberman for that reason alone, and I'm a fan of both series.

Not sure why people are complaining about Bomberman R's price. It's a full game with story. not just a multiplayer like Bomberman Blast was. Just wish people could have a little more respect for the classic franchise, instead of treating it as a ''mini game that should be cheap''.

Yeah, can't wait to play multiplayer out of the box without having to buy another controller, it's a deal braker for me. Just imagine you playing it as a handheld, then someone watch you playing and you ask them to join pull of Joy-cons

@AlliMeadow Same dude, can't belive people are just ignoring Bomberman, it's a shame. If it doesn't sell well, we won't get any more games from the series :/
It's a huge comeback in a actual full game with story, why can't they see that?

@RaphaBoss I think it is because local multiplayer is dying out in the west. Partly because of the younger generation being so used to online interaction that they don't feel the need for local play and partly because of the older generations being grown up and not having many friends or acquaintances who enjoy gaming to the same degree we do. I am lucky to have a flatmate who somewhat enjoy gaming. I have other friends who can enjoy local play, but most of them are so casual that they hate playing with me because I put in over 150 hours into games like Mario Kart, and thus they're only playing for 2nd against the computer. Same goes for many other games.

I wonder how you'll add friends to online with the switch. Feeling a lot of love for bomberman on here and it'd be great to get together with you guys for a battle royale.

@AlliMeadow I get and feel what you are saying, but local multiplayer is not a really good escuse for this game, as it does have online 8 player mathces. People are just treating it as a ''mini game'', yet they don't have a problem paying full price for a New Super Mario Bros.

Yeah i love this fact too. I think i'll play it with my brother with just the two joy-cons!

OMG that would be AWESOME to say the least. Thinking about that i hope there can be a mode where you can make story missions with online friends, that would really be a sale break!

@RaphaBoss I've gone all in on the Switch and have therefore traded both my Wii U and 3DS (I hadn't touched them for a while and I predict there value will drop once the Switch is out) Is there a way of adding friends through My Nintendo?

As of now, no there's not. I wonder if it can be implemented on/with Switch

@KidRad Yeah, I feel you. Uncharted 1 was amazing for me on the PS 3 for how advanced It was at the time. Then Uncharted 2 camevout with adictive multiplayer. After that, there wasn't much to see, so I didn't pick up 3. I have no interest in 4. Pretty much evetyhthing on ps4 looks like Just an upgraded ps3, you can't Just upgrade graphics and call It impressive. Maybe what, hair physics? Lol

I'm back to being Nintendo only for now, their console feel unique.

@KidRad the Wii U is dead. It's time to move on. I enjoyed my time with it and played some amazing games but the Switch is the future.

@RaphaBoss once it launches we need a friend request thread. I'm ready to kick some butt on bomberman (I haven't played a bomberman game since 94 so I'll probably suck at it).

Most people play consoles like PS4/Xbone for the games, rather than graphics. People who really care about graphics enough to play on a specific system just for the most advanced graphics possible are usually PC gamers.

I thoroughly enjoy Nintendo's games, but their hardware the last couple generations, not so much. The Wii motion controls were cool for like a few months before waggling a controller around got pretty stale, and I couldn't have cared less for the cheap looking Fisher-Price toy-esque Gamepad that was barely ever utilized in a meaningful way, not to mention how gimpy the consoles were in the power department. There is no excuse for the Wii U to have architecture from the Gamecube era. I very much like the Switch's hardware though, and I think that will be used in ways that will actually enhance the gaming experience, or at least much more than their last two consoles did. I'm bummed that it won't be seeing many AAA third party games, but I suppose that's just the nature of a hybrid system at this point in time.

@KidRad I'm not criticising buddy. I've always done this as it keeps the costs down. Once a console is coming to the end of its lifespan I trade it in. I'm not into retro gaming. I've been gaming since the Atari 2600 and have owned virtually every console at some stage or another. My memories of old games are better than the reality. I remember Altered Beast being an amazing game with state of the art graphics. Played it recently and man it was poor. Ruined my memory of that experience.

I feel it will be a let down. But not in the way people expect. For me personally, this console has already exceeded my expectations and I am hyped.

I feel that it will be a let down because people will expect too much. A common trait I have noticed across the Switch's journey to launch is people want so much more for less. People constantly (and I am part of it too but have since backed off) imagine the console to be absolutely amazing. Metroid, Animal Crossing, Pokemon all in the first year. Free amazing online service with a console at a cheap price! Long battery life. The list goes on and on.

But life isn't like that. You don't get everything for nothing. Metroid probably won't be in 2017. The online service does cost if you want it to be great. It won't last for over 6 hours battery life because the technology for batteries has not grown much in the years. Some call me being negative. I call it being realistic.

This will be the console's undoing if at all. People expecting too much from the device. If people lowered their expectations and just enjoyed the console and its offerings for what they are instead of taking for granted, they might find the console will surprise them.

That's exactly How It feels to me. Ps3 felt actualy diferent from the ps2, ps4 didn't change much, it's like If they were trying to be an affordable casual friendly PC, no doubt It sold so Well.

I didn't play It, but from the looks, If you like Uncharted , you can enjoy this one. But It looks a bit more cinematic to me ( If Uncharted wasn't enough)

Honestly, there is nothing wrong in having only 3 must play games on a console. I bought Wii U for smash only, but I STILL play It since launch! That's the key diference, you have to look at that, If It is worth for you.
