@rockodoodle it’s definitely the most hours I’ve put into any of the free games. Heck I haven’t put 75 into smash. It’s fun and does what it dies well.
The indie shooter that died on release, "Morphies Law", is 75% off (4.99) on the US eShop. I personally haven't played it, but if you need some help deciding, here's a link to some user reviews --> https://www.metacritic.com/game/switch/morphies-law
This may be an unpopular opinion but I personally didn't like Mutant Mudds. I bought both it and Super Challenge about a year ago for 3DS and while I completed the first game, I don't have any plans on playing the second game. It's supposedly a harder game and the first one was frustrating enough as it is. And that wasn't necessarily due to the difficulty but the level design. It also does something else I really hate, it makes you play same stages multiple times for no good reason.
I'm starting to ramble about this game again so I'll stop here. Your experience may very well differ. Most people do seem to enjoy the game. I believe there's a demo on 3DS eShop. I don't know if the same is true for the Switch version.
It's its, not it's.

I didn't care for it much either, but wanted to let others pick it up if they want it. I got it for the mini game.... At that price, if I play it for a few hours at that price, it's worth it.
Hive Jump is £0.40 on the UK store. It's a 2d scrolling platform shooter that you can play on your own or with up to four people. Graphics are quite good and it's fun
Evoland: Legendary Edition is 4.99, or 75% off (US eShop). You essentially progress through the history of RPG gaming, unlocking new gameplay options and graphics upgrades as you go.
Would attach a Metacritic link but there aren't enough reviews for a score... which may or may not be a bad thing.
@gcunit I ended up playing tiny hands adventure all the way through over the last couple of days. When I turned it on I think I thought much the same, rubbish frame rate, level titles written on Microsoft word, nonsensicle plot (a t rex who wants to be a goal keeper offered tools by a witch which probably wouldn't be allowed in a game of football).
But then I saw there were only 5 areas with 5 levels each so I played until the end, got all the gems etc. It really wasn't too bad for the £2 I spent on it. Yeah the presentation is rough but there were definitely some tricky platforming moments which were quite enjoyable.
@ralphdibny Well done you, I appreciate your feedback on it. Can't say what you've said is enough to make me play it anytime soon, but it's nice to think that I don't have a total, total turkey in my library.
You guys had me at blood and semen.
What better way to celebrate than firing something out of the pipe?
Snowboarding the next phase is a buck and I love that game. I bought it full price when it was new and thought it was worth it so I’d recommend it. It almost scratches that 1080 itch. I should note that the courses don’t let you veer too far and there are no secret paths really... but it’s fun and worth $1.
I also recommend No Thing even though it looks weird it’s frustratingly fun and difficult and is worth a few cents for sure.
I also noticed Desert Child is on sale and that’s another day one buy from me that I loved to death and it just got a Halloween patch that added new content throughout the game and Halloween content for the rest of the month which is super cool. Got me to boot it up for the first time in awhile. I highly recommend this game if it looks to you like something that you might be interested in, you won’t be disappointed.
I’m curious if any of you have nabbed Defunct? It’s on sale for 49 cents US and I’m thinking of grabbing it. Biggest complaint I’ve seen is that it’s a short game but at that price idk if that matters much.
@UmbrageHillhttps://www.metacritic.com/game/switch/defunct
I've heard it's fun, but relatively short, and the levels can get clunky if you slow down. Being a game about speed/velocity, I can see why this could be a problem. Apparently there are some framerate issues, too, but I wouldn't let that stop you if it's only 50 cents.
@WaffleKnight I went ahead and got it and it’s pretty fun.
I never really notice things like frame rates but reviews mention a stutter when you roll into a new level and that is indeed there and noticible. However for 50 cents I’d say it’s worth it, it’s fun and plays smooth otherwise and will be fun to finish even if it’s short.
