The page for this game says it was released in February this year but actually it's going to be released February 2020. Or am I missing something here and the game has been out already?
I'm hoping Capcom decides to walkback the choice to release this digital-only. Capcom previously walked back Mega Man Legacy Collection 2 and Resident Evil 4 from digital-only to offering them physically, so there's some hope it'll happen. Regardless, I have the DMC triple pack physical release preordered. Although I don't intend to redeem the code for DMC2. https://www.play-asia.com/devil-may-cry-triple-pack-multi-lan...
Switch Physical Collection - 1,247 games (as of April 15th, 2024)

@NintendoByNature - Outside of playing the whole thing on Easy Mode, the closest thing I can think of is to use items, holy water especially (it can wipe an area of non-boss enemies when used).
I know this is a DMC 3 thread but this has been bugging me for years. What exactly happened to the previous game and how did they let it become what it did? After the original DMC was such a big hit what the holy hell happened to DMC 2? Wasn't this the same guy who did Bayonetta?
Anyway back on topic DMC 3 is awesome! Glad this series gets a second chance on switch. Now i wonder if that's it or is there any chance the 4th and 5th game could be possible?
I doubt 5 but 4 shouldn't be too hard to port over.
@Zeldafan79 - Simply answer? Kamiya didn't do DMC 2, in fact it was apparently done without his knowledge. Instead, an unnamed director was the head for the majority of the game's development, until he was turfed and Itsuno (the director of the series since then) was brought in at the last minute to try and salvage what he could.
Both are technically possible (though V will need a few graphical compromises), the question is whether Capcom are willing to do it. At this point, I'd say a port of 4 is more likely than V, going by what titles Capcom have ported from the Resident Evil series (namely 4,5,6, but no 7 or 2 Remake), but who knows? Maybe that won't be the case.
@FullMetalWesker yea i use alot of vital stars. So much so that the price for the small ones are getting outrageous. I'm just not that good at the game but i am enjoying myself at least. I just spent a good 15 tries at least on a particular boss. It wasn't that he was powerful or anything, you just had to get the timing right for the fight ( horse fight). Either way thanks.

There's even a limited edition (that costs AU$100 more) and all for a couple of themed glasses and coasters. Ugh. As if they couldn't seize the opportunity to include all games on a single cartridge. To hell with useless trinkets.
"Gee, that's really persuasive. Do you have any actual points to make other than to essentially say 'me Tarzan, physical bad, digital good'?"
@OorWullie im on the 2nd half of 3. I played thru 1 already and in my opinion, bayonetta is superior. It's still a great action series, but I like the presentation, action, combos, characters etc much more in the bayo series than the dmc series. Still worthy of play throughs though.
