Topic: Determining if a Pro controller is "fixed" or not?

I heard that older models of the Pro controller apparently had some kind of issue and newer ones fixed it? Is there any truth to this? And if so, is there any way to tell if a controller is the fixed model or not?

Ive had my Pro controller for a year with no issues, so I guess its been fixed for a while

The issue folks reported to have was that ‘left’ or ‘right’ would sometimes register when pressing ‘up’ or ‘down’ and rocking the dpad. Makes it sound like too much play, but also sounds like a design to do ‘down to right’ like it should.
I got one in April this year and no issues.

Had mine since launch day and haven't noticed any issues with it at all.

@Cyber_Akuma I bought my first Pro-controller literally day 1 and never had an issue with it. But the have changed something with my recent models. It's hard to describe but the buttons have a very slightly different resistance on my newest controller, the Xenoblade 2 one. Not enough to cause even a slight issue, but I did notice it.

That can be just normal variance due to manufacturing processes. Nintendo buys the different parts from different sub contractors, which can give off a different feel.
