Have anyone already bought it? I have seen some critic reviews, but before spending money it would nice to hear some gamer feelings.
I would like to buy this one digital, so I could jump in for some action wherever I want. This makes me hestitate to buy though - game is not the cheapest one...
I bought it and goddamn I love it. Managed to reach the first boss The Concierge yesterday but got wiped out instead haha... Need to do more dodge rolls.
@kosmaty I would think that Steam Reviews will give ideas on how the game plays better though, especially recent reviews.
@darkfenrir Have you played Hyper Light Drifter? Is the feeling of combat similar? I liked that game, I'm unsure about this one due to the rogue-like aspects.
@Octane Sorry I haven't played Hyper Light, I was interested but... it just looks too difficult for me (especially getting through those super-fast-slamming-into-you-boxes) o(--<
i'm sorry if the notif is too much, the site keep erroring on me
@Octane Lol, it's quite an early dungeon one I think. I remember seeing it in one of the Let's Play video...
The gameplay of Dead Cells is really good imo, and I especially enjoy the hit-n-run tactics of throwing traps and just let it destroy enemies... (Well, the melee build is fun too)
There's some story / lore yes, but it's very sparse. Like when I was exploring I would see a prison cell, or something like an order by the King on what to do on the Ramparts and such. Also something like an empty room with a small hole. It's very, very sparse but it's enjoyable what it showed.
And it's procedurally generated], but iirc it's a bit more like Spelunky so it's not just pure random.
Thanks for the reply. It helps me great to imagine, how the game feels. I am much more eager to buy it now. My poor wallet will take another hit because of you
Just...eagerly waiting for the physical version coming later this month.

@darkfenrir This game is sooo my style - thanks for recommendation! It can be frustrating sometimes though. I had a great equipment and was going through Ramparts like a GOD and than this shiny, cursed chest showed. Couldn't help myself. I opened it and it cursed me that I cannot be hit with ANY attack unless I kill 10 oponents... any hit equals death...
Yeah. It was pretty fast ending.
@darkfenrir I already see big progress. My favourite tactic is frozing enemies and attack in melee - it works great for me. If not this cursed chest, my last guy would be pretty successful...
Well I'm pretty average at games honestly. Nothing special. And while it gets real tough at particular stages, I don't feel discouraged because you can unlock better stuff for your guy to improve your chances.

Okay, cool.... I like games that are similar to this or at least have adjustable difficulty.
