New Darksiders spin-off was revealed today, from Airship Syndicate, the creators of Battle Chasers: Nightwar. It's releasing on Xbox One, PS4, Steam, Google Stadia, and of course, the Nintendo Switch. It's an action RPG with a top-down perspective. Trailer below:
Honestly, it looks quite fun, IMO. Certainly more so than Darksiders III. Would be nice if this franchise got back on track again.
I'll be honest, I thought they were gonna make something like this for Darksiders for ages. But I thought it would be after 4, since then it could be a 4 player co-op game with all 4 protagonists. But I guess not?
This game is amazing. Now that I have it and played a few hours, I can now say it is not a Diablo copy-cat at all. Legit, the only thing that is similar is the obvious isometric camera but other than that there is nothing else that is taken from Diablo.
So for the many folks out there like me that own Diablo and initially thought this was a cash grab and heavily stolen from Diablo that is not the case at all. 👍🏻
I am really conflicted on if i want to play this or not. I loved the first two Darksiders games. Mostly because i heard it was like a darker zelda and that's basically what it feels like. As for the third game i haven't played it yet but from my understanding it's a god of war inspired game with a bit of dark souls thrown in. Still wanna check that one out but Genesis i don't know. The isometric view almost kills it for me. I feel like everything is too tiny and as though it looks like a mobile game. I just don't quite get what I'm looking at from the videos. Is it still anything like zelda or a totally different type of game?

@Zeldafan79 This happens for all Portable mode vs Docked mode. BoTW works fine in portable and so does XenoBlade2. So this is more or less one opinion and not reflective of the overall gaming experience.
Just thought I'd point out that the Nephilim (baller) edition has been discounted, down from $380 to $200, on AmazonNA. Personally, I'm content with my $15 standard copy. But if you're hardcore into either limited edition boardgames or steelbooks, I doubt you'll ever see this edition be cheaper than right now. If you have more than a passing interest, get it before the eBay flippers do.

Me and my friend bought this game this week and we can't get play together. We both have memberships. We both played together on other games on the switch. But genisis won't let us join each others game. It crashes and leaves the starting menu to the First screen which is press a button to continue. We tried changing Internet connections and redownloading and nothing is working. If anyone knows what to do or where should I go for help. Please help.. we've been playing for years and we've been frustrated for 2 days now.

@CanisWolfred We figured it out! It was his Internet NAT type. He has a D and I have B and that was the problem. If this happens to someone I hope they see this cuz we were so frustrated and we were surprised it was a problem like that.
