Haha yeah so much to play its getting crazy.
Ive been playing on quality mode as well I love the look of this game too much. Figured if I played it like that in 2010 then I can handle it now and fps has never been a big deal to me. The rumble is subtle, its a neat touch.
Battle Chasers is a fantastic game if you get a chance to play it. Ive been trying to get back to it...but yeah, you know how it is.

I bought Cuphead on the X1, but never got past the first couple stages. My brother swears by that game though, so you’re not the first to mention how great it is. I definitely think it’ll be easier to play having it on a hybrid device. Platformer games (even though this is more of a schmup) are great on handhelds because you can just play a stage at a time when you’re out and about. I used to take my 3DS to work and play DKC Returns 3D, and later DKC Tropical Freeze on Switch. Cuphead will be perfect for that. Plus by breaking it up into smaller pieces I’ll be less likely to get frustrated.

I definitely, definitely want to play Final Fantasy XII. I’ve already played X on the Vita, but I wouldn’t mind playing through a second time, I just don’t want to prioritize a second play through over a game I haven’t played. So FFXII is top of the list, Cuphead is top of the list. Dragons Dogma is top of the list. The rest will just have to squeeze it in when there’s time.

I take it you’ve already played all these games, ya? It’s shocking how many games I haven’t played. Despite owning Darksiders on multiple systems, this is my first time actually sitting down and committing to play the game. Despite owning FFXII on multiple platforms and emus, this will be my first time actually sitting down and committing to play the game through. Sometimes I feel like I’m the only one excited for pre-existing games being moved over to the Switch. But of course that I remember that most people were gaming on PS3 and 360 for nearly a decade whereas I was not

@JaxonH Well, I can't say much. FFXII is pretty great. Definitely one of the better entries in the series. You'll love it.

I'm playing through FF9 for the first time, actually. On the Vita. The HD character models in the re-releases might look better, but they clash horribly with the pre-rendered environments. Also, this PS1 Classics version has none of the weird bugs that seem to plague all of the re-releases of this game.

Ya, I have all the FF games available on Vita. I just don’t play it anymore, because... well, hybrid is so much more convenient than either console only or handheld only. And if I’m only going to take one handheld system with me it’s going to be the one I’m always playing. I did bust out the Vita for Persona 5 though. I was so into that game I wanted to play it at work so I tried the remote play. It was horribly laggy and 360p and not worth the trouble at all, and I ended up scratching my screen at work and had to buy a new Vita. Not a good experience. I’ll be extremely glad if P5 comes to Switch. It would be great playing at work without having to go through that again.

I do like having them though as a collection on Vita, kind of how I like having a modded 3DS with my entire collection ripped digitally for convenience sake, along with 150 SNES/GBA games. But I don’t play my 3DS anymore either.

The models do kinda clash with the backgrounds but... Idk, I still like how the models look and would still probably prefer having them clash and look good then not clash and still be pixelated. That said, I haven’t really put much thought into it at all so I don’t think it matters much one way or the other. I’m sure the smaller Vita screen helps it look a bit better. The music bug doesn’t bother me though. It’s a small thing but well worth the trade-off for the fast forward feature, cause... goodness, waiting for animations to play out in the old school FF games can be an excercise in patience 😁

@JaxonH The real killer in FFIX is the load times when you go into battles. The remastered version would have been worth the money if it drastically lowered those, but I timed it, and it only shaves off a few seconds per battle versus the original PS1 release. Granted, I'm sure speeding up the battles shaves off plenty of time on its own, but it seems like a missed opportunity.

If I didn't own any version of it, I'd probably opt for it on Switch, but since I already own the PS1 Classic for my Vita, it seems like a waste not to play it on there. And, in general. it's pretty neat. I even got a grip for my Vita, which makes it easier to hold and helps to avoid accidental activations of the POS back touchscreen. And, kind of like with the Switch, I've arrived at the point where I only want to play it with a grip.

I've actually played my 3DS more this year than any of my other systems. Although I expect that to change pretty drastically when Fire Emblem, A.I.: The Somnium Files, Animal Crossing, Dragon Quest, Pokemon, etc. launch later in the year. Still hard to believe all that stuff is apparently arriving in 2019.

Got to the first real dungeon, where things start to get a bit zeldary. I was expecting that, of course, and I love it.

War's boomerang has slightly more edge to it than Link's. But that's a bit of a given.

Game gets difficult in some places. I’m playing on Normal difficulty, and it’s been testing my limits here and there.

The actual dungeons in this are immense, with so many levels and pathways, it can make your head spin. I've gotten lost a few times I must admit, mainly just by exploring and forgetting what the hell I'm supposed to be doing 😀

It's a great game for the Switch, too. I like to do all the puzzles and exploration in handheld, then switch to the big screen for those end level boss battles. And they certainly haven't gone low key on those.

I just got the game after ONE MONTH of delay of my pre-order from my retailer.
Little disappointed that the art on the case is normal and not the black one from the videos

I've finished it myself. Really enjoyed it, too. It was like a solid old school God of war mixed with Zelda, although they never hit the true head scratcher type puzzle you can sometimes find in a real Zelda.

Then again, you can't rip a giant bat into pieces to get some health in Zelda, except that one I dreamt, Gears of Link.

I’ve gotten my first possessed weapon and I can’t seem to be able to rename it. The option to “Change Name” is there but every time I select it and press “A” nothing happens. Is this a function that was removed for the Switch version?
