I MAY be wrong but i don't think it's considered a Microsoft game. It's just a console exclusive or at least it was. It's like how hollow knight is a console exclusive. I could be wrong honestly
Microsoft paid the studio (and may have even funded some of the game's development) to keep it exclusive to Xbox on the console side of things.
Unlike Crash on PS4 & Tomb Raider on Xbox it wasn't merely a year's exclusivity, but a permanent exclusivity deal, so the studio had to get Microsoft's approval to release it on Switch.
Currently Playing:
Switch - Blade Strangers
PS4 - Kingdom Hearts III, Tetris Effect (VR)
You might wanna try out co-op mode for a slightly easier time, as you only fail the stage/boss fight if both players are dead.
Well, this is only the case when you have a friend who's skilled in platformers, they will just drag you down if they die a lot. Saving your friend can be a very risky business considering how intense this game is. Players also deal 50% less damage in co-op when both players are alive.
Welp, I'm almost done beating the game for the first time, gonna add Honeybottoms to me Hate list now. I dunno why I was able to take her out in 2 tries on Steam, yet on here she was driving me insane.
Anyways...yeah...I'm afraid to think how infuriating Expert is going to be...lol

Keep it PG-13-ish.
@Octoguy Same here, I cleared the first world and so far it isn't oppressively hard as other people is making it.
These boss battles has the rare click that it feels that it's completely your fault and you have to feel to challenge that boss again.
Watch the patterns, learn what strategy works and what doesn't, get the right weapons, (and turn the difficulty to simple to get a feel for that regular boss later if you feel overwhelmed), and the challenge will be surmounted!
@Joeynator3000 nice, haven't played yet. Got caught up with a new pooch we just got. How long is the play through roughly?
I honestly can't remember how long it took me, when I played the game for the first time I stopped after getting to Isle 2. After a year or so I came back to it and started over and took a few breaks here and there after finishing the new bosses and after getting to King Dice I stopped completely since the Switch version was around the corner. At that point I knew what I was up against and a lot of the bosses that gave me issues weren't much of a problem for me. ....besides Honeybottoms, lol
I even took Maria out on my first try on this version. xD
...Anyways yeah, I guess a few hours for me. Maybe a bit longer for anyone playing the game for the first time.
As someone who generally doesn't like too much difficulty in his games...
I'm loving my second run through this (originally played on PC/Xbox). Everything about this game is just so charming, and the difficulty is anything but cheap - you really feel that every loss and victory is deserved. And I still have Yoshi to calm me down if things get too tough.
The only problem I do have, and this was on the Steam version (I think it's the controller, lol...), is that the controls seem a bit too sensitive. It really shows when I'm about to use my basic Super, I'm about to set it up and at the very last split second I end up firing it the wrong direction and completely waste it. :/
It just happens in general, freakin' irritating. lol

I can't believe how addicted I am to this game. I heard about all of the difficulty talks prior to playing it and while everyone was right, its not to the point of wanting to put the game down. Most levels and bosses are short enough to where you don't feel like you lost that much progress. Don't get me wrong I've died alot but I immediately replay and jump right back in because the game is that much fun. This is definitely going to be one of my top 2019 games.
