As the title states, let's stick to third-party games from prior to the Gamecube era that you would love to see remade (not rereleased) for the Switch.

Why restrict it to remakes rather than ports and pre-GC era games? Frankly what I'd love to see on the Switch is more "enhanced" ports of 360/PS3 era games. Because if the Switch is going to get re-releases of any kind it's those sort of games that are going to be the most impressive.

They've already done LA Noire and Skyrim so the next big ones on the list IMO would be Portal, Bioshock, GTA and Bayonetta. All would be fairly big deals if they were to appear on the Switch even if just for the novelty of having a portable version of those games.

Some good Aussie musics: King Gizzard, Pond, The Avalanches
"Don't stir the pot" is a nice way of saying "they're too dumb to reason with"

You're absolutely right! I would love to see games from last generation! I would flip to see the Bioshock Collection, Return to Gotham, Dark Souls (my most wanted game on Switch), GTA 5, Red Dead, etc.

I've been watching a ton of DOOM footage recently - the way that they've modernised the classic original looks really impressive (can't wait to get it on Switch!) ..I was always more of a Quake fan myself back in the day - a full remaster, with Trent Reznor's classic score and all of the thrills and spills (and frags!) of the original would be an absolute dream!

Agreed, Quake or, better yet, Quake motherloving 3!

As for me; I don't know if this counts, but Final Fantasy Tactics Advance would be my first choice.

Sonic CD - as it was released on PC, 360 and PS3 before. So why not a Nintendo console (I assume it didn't come to Wii U)

Keio Flying Squadron - another Mega CD game. I love it!

I also agree with the first Monkey Ball. Or even a re-release of Banana Blitz!

And I could list about 50 games if Sega ever got a Sega Saturn emulator running on the Switch. But Sega Rally would be the top of the list, along with the amazing Saturn Bomberman.

Megaman Legends 1&2 - Gonna just stick this one here despite it's implausibility, I'd love to see this remade for modern consoles.

Call it Mega Man Legends Trilogy and include The Misadventures of Tron Bonne as the third game.

Edgey, Gumshoe, Godot, Sissel, Larry, then Mia, Franziska, Maggie, Kay and Lynne.

I'm throwing my money at the screen but nothing happens!

With Doom and Wolfenstein coming to the Switch, Daikatana is surely only a matter of time... Err, no, how about Metal Gear Solid 2. MGS 1 and MGS 3 have been remade on Nintendo systems, so MGS2 would round it out nicely.

Journey to Silius (SUNSOFT/NES). Live instruments soundtrack. Would be so awesome.

The original Spyro trilogy.
Not happening any time soon with the licence tied up in Skylanders but Crash Bandicoot's success might get the ball rolling.

Halflife 1 & 2 with episodes and Portal 1 & 2 in a boxset for the switch.
I know it will NEVER happen, but i can but dream of being Gordon Freeman on the move

@Bunkerneath I wouldn't mind a port of Half-Life and Half-Life 2 in some sort of Orange Box compilation. Very good games, but Valve doesn't care about Half-Life anymore, so it's quite unlikely it can happen. But, you never know, with NVIDIA Shield running Half-Life 2...

Done with gaming. Farewell people!

Totally agree with Faxanadu and Journey to Silius.

I'd add Shatterhand,, Turrican and Jet Force Gemini.

Currently playing: Sonic 4, Metroid Other M, Battle Lode Runner (TG-16), Dragon Quest IV (DS)

I picked 3 games from every system I've owned except for the Atari, Sega, Microsoft and Sony systems.

Defender of the Crown - C64
Paradroid - C64
Mercenary - C64
Super Metroid - SNES
Actraiser - SNES
Shadowrun - SNES
Return Fire - 3DO
Road Rash - 3DO
Wing Commander 3 - 3DO
F-Zero X - N64
Pilotwings 64 - N64
ISS 64 - N64
Monkey Ball - NGC
Luigi's Mansion - NGC
Star Wars Rogue Squadron 2 - NGC
Skyward Sword - Wii
Trauma Team - Wii
Sin & Punishment 2 - Wii

Commander Keen: Invasion of the Vorticons could really use a remake. That was dated as soon as the sequels were released (which improved on the original in every conceivable way). I think any new Keen games should retain the ability to save anywhere from the originals, but keep that fiendish difficulty for those who wish to plough through the level without saving until the very end. Once the remakes are completed, they can move on to The Universe Is Toast, the sequel that was promisd for a late 1992 release but dumped in favour of FPSs.
