As the title states, let's stick to third-party games from prior to the Gamecube era that you would love to see remade (not rereleased) for the Switch.
Why restrict it to remakes rather than ports and pre-GC era games? Frankly what I'd love to see on the Switch is more "enhanced" ports of 360/PS3 era games. Because if the Switch is going to get re-releases of any kind it's those sort of games that are going to be the most impressive.
They've already done LA Noire and Skyrim so the next big ones on the list IMO would be Portal, Bioshock, GTA and Bayonetta. All would be fairly big deals if they were to appear on the Switch even if just for the novelty of having a portable version of those games.

"Don't stir the pot" is a nice way of saying "they're too dumb to reason with"
You're absolutely right! I would love to see games from last generation! I would flip to see the Bioshock Collection, Return to Gotham, Dark Souls (my most wanted game on Switch), GTA 5, Red Dead, etc.
With Doom and Wolfenstein coming to the Switch, Daikatana is surely only a matter of time... Err, no, how about Metal Gear Solid 2. MGS 1 and MGS 3 have been remade on Nintendo systems, so MGS2 would round it out nicely.
The original Spyro trilogy.
Not happening any time soon with the licence tied up in Skylanders but Crash Bandicoot's success might get the ball rolling.
Halflife 1 & 2 with episodes and Portal 1 & 2 in a boxset for the switch.
I know it will NEVER happen, but i can but dream of being Gordon Freeman on the move
Commander Keen: Invasion of the Vorticons could really use a remake. That was dated as soon as the sequels were released (which improved on the original in every conceivable way). I think any new Keen games should retain the ability to save anywhere from the originals, but keep that fiendish difficulty for those who wish to plough through the level without saving until the very end. Once the remakes are completed, they can move on to The Universe Is Toast, the sequel that was promisd for a late 1992 release but dumped in favour of FPSs.
