Civilization VI is coming to Switch with an extensive list of DLC included. This is not another Civilization Revolution, but the real, full Civ game. If I'm not mistaken, this is the first time a main-series Civ game has come to any console since Civ2 on PS1.
Goodbye, real life!

I am beyond shocked! I never expected to hear this! But boy am I happy! The ability to play Civ 6 on the go is such a shock! I really really really hope this game runs well on the Switch! I put a lot of time in it on PC, but will more than happily jump back in on the Switch!

Yep, feeling the hype for sure. I haven't bought VI because I'm not even tired of V, but I don't play games on PC that much anymore, what with my Switch addiction and work making it a real chore to sit in front of a PC for long periods.
Now I'm glad I didn't upgrade yet, I really think the Switch is a perfect platform for Civ. Would have been perfectly happy to get Civ V again, but the fact that it's the newest Civ makes me giddy with excitement.
Forget Diablo and Smash, this is my personal main jam and the best gaming news I've had all year.

I haven't played a game in the series since Revolution, which I enjoyed.
If there's a physical version I'll be a buyer.

First Diablo III, now Civilization VI? Nintendo is apparently continuing its quest to render my gaming PC obsolete. If Paradox Interactive were to release one of their grand strategy games for Switch then I may never turn on my PC again.
I've never played a game like this but it looks really cool. I'm looking for a strategy/sim game that I can play casually. I've watched this video to check what it's about, for those who also don't really know much about it:
I literally got a gaming PC just to play this game.
I am so on this
All have sinned and fall short of Gods glory. Wages of sin is death. Romans
God so loved the world He sent His only Son- whoever believes on Him has eternal life. Unless you believe, you will die in your sins. Whoever believes, rivers of living water flow within them. John
It'll be interesting jumping back into this series again with VI. I haven't played any of these since III on PC back in the day. I enjoyed it, but I was never very good at it (wasn't as strategy-minded in Jr. High).
Currently playing: Mario & Luigi: Bowser's Inside Story + Bowser Jr's Journey
I'm pretty keen to play this despite not having much experience with the series (I was into other strategy series back in the day) outside of the paradox series I would say I've not actually played any pure strategy games in nearly a decade so this will be a nice change of pace.
I bought both Civilization IV and V over the years but could never really get into the series. It is liked by many, though, so it is neat it is coming to the Switch.
I'm in such a backlog again. Playing through Wolfenstein II: The New Colossus at the moment.
Ys VIII: Lacrimosa of DANA and Octopath Traveler on hold! :/
And Xenoblade Chronicles 2: Torna - The Golden Country, Diablo III - Eternal Collection, Super Smash Bros. Ultimate, Dark Souls Remastered, and Civilization VI on my must-have list.
