Is it OK to use a Samsung fast charge plug to charge the switch? I have a spare USB A to C cable and fast charge plug and not sure if its ok to use after reading many different articles on charging the switch on the go. I go on holiday next week and won't be taking the dock.
But curious to know anyway cos I could charge and play when sat away from the TV if required.
I personally stay away from Fast charge for Switch since it uses a proprietary standard (and doesn't work for fast charging anyways), not to mention USB-A taps out at 7.5W of power on Switch while max draw hits 8.7W so you can (and likely will) drain while charging, or at best hold steady...
But I don't think it's terribly unsafe, if that's what you're asking. There have been words of caution against mixing Fast charge with Switch, cautions I have echoed myself, but between you and me I'm sure it'll be fine. Just don't expect a quality charge.
