Topic: Can't unlock Shovel Knight in Runbow

In Runbow, Shovel Knight is supposed to unlock after you butt pound 10 enemies, but it isn't working. Anyone else having this problem?

Just got the game and I'm having the same issue, has anyone figured this out? Other characters unlock fine (though there are a number of characters which say "no requirements" yet aren't unlocked for some reason) but Shovel Knight will not unlock. I've jumped on 10 enemies in the same level, I've ground-pounded 10 enemies in the same level, I've even ground-pounded the floor 10 times in the same level. I don't know how else to interpret the requirement. I'm really liking the game but Shovel Knight is my most wanted indie unlock and this issue is kind of infuriating.

I contacted 13am games and told them about the problem. They said they would look into it and maybe release a patch somewhere down the line. But they haven't done it yet so I would suggest that everyone who cares about this contact them and let them know about it.

Well I'm glad they got back to you at least. I contacted them as well shortly after posting here so I've already taken your advice haha. Here's hoping they get that sorted out.

I unlocked Shovel Knight. I was playing in Adventure Mode with some friends and, after one particular ground-pound, he just unlocked. Have no idea why it suddenly happened now.

Great now we all can figure how to do it.

Had the same problem playing on my own. Then I did “run” mode with my son and ground pounded on him a bunch of times and Shovel Knight unlocked. Must be a glitch where it only opens in multiplayer like @JDORS said.
