Cloud updates are tied to a paid service on the other two if I'm not mistaken. Nintendo will probably do the same.
Only PS4. On XB1 all you need is an Xbox Live account, it doesn't matter whether you're a silver member (free) or gold member (paid) you still get cloud saves.
I prefer the PS4 because it lets upload to cloud (that cost money) and to USB.
Xbox One do it silently and god knows how, when, where.
Speaking of the most pointless whine in this thread. If you read the version history it's clear why this is version 4. They may be pushing version numbers up quicker than usual but even so each major version has been quite an update. To lay it all out:
v1: Pre-release version
v2: Added online, eShop, social media, HDMI CEC, news
v3: Can now add friends from Wii U/3DS, Friend notifications, USB keyboard, wired ProController
v4: 30sec video capture, save transfer, eShop pre-purchase
Every other update? Mostly just bug fixes and "stability" improvements. They've just changed their version numbering system vs what they used on the 3DS/Wii U/Wii.
You clearly do not know how the version numbering works.
There is a major and minor numbers. But hey, toys do not need this complexity, right? Then why does it cost 300$.
@skywake im using the Sony Platinums that are 7.1 with 3D so it sounds like 2.0 hooked up to the switch instead.
Those headphones are just regular 2.0 headphones. What Sony does on the PS4 is do some extra processing on the sound to make it sound like a surround setup. Not unlike Dolby Atmos: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Dolby_Atmos#Headphone_version
From what I can tell the Switch only has a surround option for TV output. I can't find any headphone sound settings. Though with that said all it would take would be a developer to do a different audio mix and you'd get the same effect. For example I wouldn't be at all surprised if Breath of the Wild does this.

"Don't stir the pot" is a nice way of saying "they're too dumb to reason with"
@skywake It's interesting how the people moaning about 'safe spaces' are the same ones who refuse to read the comments of their debating partner for fear it might upset their tiny, precious, angtsy little thought-bubble.
It's a surprisingly common thing lately. To get a bit political for a second, there's a certain political movement right now that's very, very vocally "pro-free speech". However when push comes to shove they are only actually in favour of their own speech. So really what they're trying to do is silence of their opponents and using words that used to mean the opposite. And that sort of abuse of terms flters down into places like this.
To use a recent Australian example, we're having a vote on Same Sex Marriage right now. The No campaign is pushing back against it mostly on the grounds of "freedom of speech". Their slogan is literally "it's ok to say no". But boy were they fast to want the ban hammer to come down when someone says something they don't like....
