Topic: Can a Micro SD Card negatively effect gameplay on the Nintendo Switch?

I recently got a 400 GB SanDisk Extreme Pro Micro SD Card and put it in my Switch. When playing Let's Go, Pikachu, it runs a tad slower than before with a bit of lag here and there. Could it be the Micro SD Card causing this? It's a UHS-I interface which is the recommended version for the Switch so maybe the gameplay experience that I'm having is normal for this particular game or I'm just imagining it? You can see the Micro SD Card in the link below if you're curious. Does this particular model that I got seem fully compatible with the Switch with no complications?

@Darthy09 I’ve been using a micro SD for Switch for over a year and have not experienced any new problems when using the card. It is still possible, but it’s more likely that Let’s Go randomly lags.

@TexanSansei so you posted no sd card specs - anything could be causing that issue from fake sd card specs to not formatted correctly. Problem cards should be replaced not reused. Online games lags are related to your wifi or ISP provider not a Switch issue. It does not fill up with playing data your making conclusion based on poor analytics. Your online lags are internet issue or ISP issue.

More likely due to either your internet being a bit worse or the number of online players .... Could be other issues server side! Sandisk are usually good & if an sd card goes wrong, due to data corruption, etc, then the games become unplayable

@Darthy09 Its pretty unlikely the SD card is causing online lag. Online lag can come and go, depending on a variety of things. In all likelihood it's unrelated to the SD card. Could be your own WiFi, your ISP, the players you're connected to, interference, any number of things on the hops between you and what your connected to, it's a long list.
But, if you want to be 100% sure, the easiest way to determine would be to remove the SD card from the equation. Reinstall the game on the system memory and see if the problem persists.

@LatsaSpege I know when I have technical problems, I always want unrelated and irrelevant personal preferences pushed on me as the solution.
