BlasterMaster 0 makes way to the Nintendo Switch on March 9. This game looks like such a throwback and it looks so good. I'm super excited for this one.
I haven't tended to get into retro styled games, and don't know the original BlasterMaster, but the variety in gameplay here looks great and I'll be looking out for this.
You guys had me at blood and semen.
What better way to celebrate than firing something out of the pipe?
I hope the soundtrack isn't all fast paced stuff. It needs the atmospheric tunes like the water and ice stages on the original game. I like how they got the Sunsoft sounds down exactly.
I was just browsing the eShop (Europe) and noticed that there's now a free demo for this game available to download - thought I'd share the news for anyone who might be interested
Immediate impressions are that it's got great potential, seems right up my alley, apart from one thing - I don't like the physics of the vehicle, it's too floaty. I'm sure I can get used to it, but it just sticks out as an immediate oddity to me.
And you'll want a d-pad, which I don't have

I have also just got the demo, i'm liking it but maybe i'll wait for mynintendo eshop discounts to start before I buy, i have also downloaded the free DLC just in case i do make the purchase.
I made my way through the first 6 areas like I had invincibility mode enabled then area 7 switches things to more stealth style gameplay. Looking forward to finishing this up so I can move on to something new if the gameplay follows this direction throughout the remaining areas.
Since this game is on 3DS, I can technically talk about a Switch game :V
This game is pretty great. It's not Shovel Knight levels of 2d platforming but it's very good. Just a good example of updating an old game for the most part. Fixes old issues about the original, changes enough things, adds cool things, understands that maps are good, adds enough story that it exists but doesn't make it the focus for no good reason. Good stuff. Only major problem I have is that a certain upgrade can make the top down sections too easy (though even then they let you turn that ability off, which I did).
Does anyone know what to do when you've got all the keys in Area 9? I've noticed a door that's only semi-visible but I can't go through it, and other than that I have no idea where to go.
@Dogorilla There's a door on the far right side of the map you can go through that'll eventually lead to an area where you can use the keys to unlock some doors barring your progression to the end. Make sure your transmission receiver is turned on, BTW.
So... I'm thoroughly, thoroughly enjoying this game now. The only thing that bugs me is trying to grab ladders in the air/water. You'd think you could just hold UP as you fly past, but that never seems to work. Maddening...
