Topic: Best Full HD 1080 40 inch TV for Nintendo Switch?

I currently play my Switch on a 26 inch LG M2631 TV. I find the writing in menus in games like Zelda BOTW hard to see and Zelda actually looks better on Switchs own screen - seems clearer. I'm guessing this is partly due to the resolution of my TV, 1366 x 768.

So I am going to buy a new TV. I am looking at 40 inch TVs as I have a tiny house and any bigger won't fit in my living room. I went and looked in a shop yesterday and there are two I like the look of, both Full HD 1080. The guy did show me a 4k TV but I found the picture highly unreal and weird so I shall be avoiding those.

These are the two I was looking at:

The Sony had darker blacks but I'm worried that you cannot turn off the motion smoothing on a screen this small. I got the guy to show me the settings menus as I have read it is best to use the GAME mode when playing games however he couldn't find a GAME mode on either of them. Which is weird as on Panasonic's own website they have a GAME mode listed in the specs. I assume the guy was looking in the wrong menu, it just had two options bright and standard I think.

Does anyone here own either of these TV's or have any advice on which is better. I am seriously considering taking my switch to the shop and seeing if they will let me hook it up to the TVs and fiddle with the settings to see which looks better!
