I've had a bit of a nightmare getting a good Switch, my first two suffered with crashing and a sticking out bezel, respectively. Both those Switches came out of the box half charged (as well as my girlfriend's Switch). I know this now to be the standard for most electronics - for them to be stored out of the factory at half(ish) battery; however - my third Switch has 95% battery out of the box... is this a sign that it's been used before my receiving it? It came directly from Amazon, as new. I'm a lil paranoid over it.
Thanks much,
I'm surprised that any electronic device "out of the box" is usable without requiring an initial charge. Unless there's an existing profile on your Switch when you received it, I strongly doubt that it has been used. =/
Does it already have fingerprints on it? Scratches? No? Move along.
"Gee, that's really persuasive. Do you have any actual points to make other than to essentially say 'me Tarzan, physical bad, digital good'?"
Consumer electronics companies — especially those built around a strong brand like Apple — will charge ritzy products like phones most of the way up (full charges damage lithium ion batteries over time) to add to the experience. Just check if your dock is parallel, get a screen protector, and be glad Switches aren't $600.
